He does have that hard edge to his game which can be beneficial with control.

Left the ground both feet, no intent to wrap the arms, shoulder direct to the head. Wasn't Radley, Nathan Brown or JWH so not even a penalty

Strangely enough, even though the send off was a blatant error and could have cost us the game if a decent score buffer wasn't on, I think that the send off has worked in Nathan's favour. The MRC have probably reviewed the incident and realised that the on-field decision was a mistake and over-the-top especially in comparison to Val Holmes, so the MRC could charge him nothing more than "one game" only as a fair punishment.
Better than expected, I say !

I'm happy with a 1 week suspension, although it proves that this wasn't a reckless grade 3. It was still high and I think just the 1 week (plus nothing for Robbo pretty much calling Klein's reffing a crock of shyte - which is was) is the closest that we're gonna get to an olive branch from Anusley.
Side note - I think it's actually the bunker (Atkins) that farked up in this case as he said "the issue is you’ve run out of the line with intent there, you’ve left the ground, you are off". To me this reads as 'you were jamming in, which we made it clear we'd be targeting... OFF!!!'
During the week, Anusley did a presser where he mentioned jamming in and gave multiple examples of it. The message I got was that he wants to warn people that if you fly off your line to try and 'jam' the dummy half with a swinging arm (e.g. if JWH flies out 20m in front of the team to snap a flat-footed centre as he's still catching the ball) then you're in trouble as some bean counter's identified this as a serious HIA risk.
Problem is, Brown wasn't flying 20m off his line to throw a swinging arm at a little dude who was flat-footed!!!!! Also he wasn't trying to change the momentum of the game but 'jamming' a little guy early!!!! WE HAD THE FARKING MOMENTUM!!!! Manly was going nowhere (don't think they'd even scored a try - we'd just wrongfully had a try disallowed [double movement my arse!!!] that woulda put the cue in the rack) and Manly were down to 12 on the field.
It was just a textbook high shot (which is what the charge sheet has said). HOW did Atkins not get the mail about what 'jamming in' entails? I watched Anusley's footage (unlike Atkins I didn't meet the guy all week + chat to him about this) and it was pretty frigging obvious what Anusley was looking for. This simply wasn't an example of it!!!

Luai got charged a grade 1 careless high tackle which only carries a fine, Browns was grade 2. How they determine these is beyond me.
Luai’s looked really bad to me, left the ground with direct contact with the head. Just lucky Nelson has a tough melon. I’d consider Luai’s the worse of all over the weekend.
