  • Is it possible?

Has our draw been engineered so that the last match of the round, Easts vs Souffs, becomes an NRL blockbusting sell-out?

Have easts been deliberately refereed out of some matches so that their level of desperation going into the final round is sky high?

If yes, one assumes they'll get a leg up from the match officials in their next few matches to ensure the NRL gets what they'd planned all season.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Curious also that the 2nd last game is against the Tigers.

Will Easts be allowed to rack up a massive score so their for and against gives them a shot to make the final 8 if they then beat souffs?

Before Klein is given the final game to surgically remove both legs.

I am sick of playing Souffs in the last round!

Should be Jarred’s 300 I think. You’d think the boys would be up for it. Souths will be nice and fresh coming off a bye. Wouldn’t it be great if we could win and knock them out of top 4/8 contention. There will be plenty of incentive.

Yep, all part of the plan.

If Souffs are top-8 certainties, and Easts are done and dusted for the year, I hope it turns into a bloodbath with the vermin coming out the worse off. Who cares if we cop suspensions that carry into season 2024, it's not like they start a new season on a long winning run.
