Jeez I’d hate to have an imagination as bland as yours. I’m sure the club are a bit more creative, go support the Tigers if you are that intent on mediocrity.

Bennett is available in 2025.. he would have a field day with our squad and you could guarantee we would be playing in September with him. Plenty of coaches have come from no where to build immediate success, look back 2013, who knew Robbo prior to then.

personally i'd give him an extension right now. it would be a message to the players that whatever problems you may or may not have with the coach it's up to you to play your best footy

We dont seem to have any succession plan and maybe Robinson wants it that way - Sowfffs had Demetriou working with Bennett to then take over and has done a good job - Easts at the moment seem to have nothing.
We have had two crap years where the team performs no better than an A grade side at Coogee oval - so I agree if midway through next year the same rubbish try and get someone else.

6 weeks into next year, if we start slow and lose to the likes of the Dolphins/Knights etc again it'll show nothing has changed

Robbo always goes on about how "lessons were learnt"

              Then prove it...

Three strikes and you're out Robbo has had 2 with this year and last year's great experiment debacle, so i would give him next season and if he can't turn this train wreck around hes gonski,.

I'm happy to give him another year. Out of interest though, how much did you know about Trent Robinson before he became head coach of the Roosters?

I’d imagine they will talk to robbo this year about what went wrong and to make sure he is on the right path to fix it
2 failed years in a row, they have him the team which most coaches would dream of, imagine Wayne is he had this team! But if he can’t use it well…
look I think there may be a bit of nerves for robbo coming into next year, if they don’t make the 8 next year you would not know

this roster is top 4 worthy, premiership fav by Many and def nothing short of top 8 is really bad! And we are coming 14th with only the dismal dogs, dragons and tigers behind us

tbh the more I think about it its discraceful and embarrassing where we are
we can’t get basic posession, penalties and errors right and make the same mistake week after week, we have been dismal to each loosing to dragons and beating dogs by 2

Robbo hasn't got the roster nor the coaching staff around him to get this squad as a premiership contender. We lack youth, size, skill, speed, cohesion, staff and confidence compared to the 2x table leaders in the comp this season in the Broncos and Panthers. He cannot turn chicken shit into chicken salad !

We have a small halves pairing and not just small but also essentially 3x running 5/8s who play very similar as to each other, no genuine game-managing style half either like a Cleary, Reynolds, DCE or Johnson. A forward pack that boasts an origin/test player (Collins) who seems to only play well if it's Origin and an old gunslinger (JWH) who is on the home stretch of his career. Without those two we just don't have the punch to take on teams beyond the first 25mins.

An expensive lock who's been acquired to play hooker (Cheese). A lock (Radley) who spends more minutes off the field than on it. The best fullback/player for the past 5x years (Teddy) who decided 2023 was the year to have a misfire. A young prodigy halfback built like a 14 year old kid (Walker) who went from becoming our next long-term Halfback to the next patient in the hospital ward with half a knee hanging on (PS: who also needed to "develop his game more").

An over-hyped teen (Suaalii) who went from the next big thing in the NRL to the next big thing in Rugby Union. Angus ... well, thanks but I think we're done with him. Butcher brother's who are basic and borderline fringe players. Manu who only plays the game when he feels like it. Billy Smith running around every game with Medical Staff on stand-by. Utilities and rejects galore.

Matt King who went from an essentially a trainer to somehow our attacking coach, we've had a high turnover of Assistant Coaches generally speaking, Cronk who is our halves specialist who only works 1x day per week with our halves but it's let's be real, where is the value ? It's all easy to do video work and training drills but everyone seems to become gun-shy on the field. Inexperienced new assistants learning the ropes and doing their apprenticeship quickly-as-possible (Friend and Cordner).

                        Honourable mention to Toops !

But yes ... the roster and the staff is a f*king circus act ! A clean is out is absolutely necessary but ... Robbo needs to be given another shot !

I agree our roster hasn’t fired this year
but why have we been premiership favs again? If we fire that roster is certainly top 4
It’s got rep players littered through it
They are just out of form as a team and individually this season
not that the roster is bad
we don’t lack youth. With suaali, smith, walker etc there is younger guys there, we only have 4 who are 30 or over

you are right on the coaching though whatever is going on is not working atm accross the board

                          let’s hope in 2024
-teddy doesn’t overplay his hand and passes the ball
                          -young gives us pace outwide
                          - we find a plan for Manu, pass him the ball and he passes the ball to young
-toia is fit and healthy to take the left centre spot
-we find a good 6. Bigger body to Keary
-needs another front rower coming through
                          - find 2 good ball running edge back rowers, which we have in Angus and sitili if they are fit and in form
-rads goes back to 2021 and earlier form

we will have money with suaali $750, jwh $750, Keary $800 and maybe tupou $400k all potentially gone
let’s see how we spend it

I knew he was Brian Smith's assistant and that he was very highly regarded by the players. I actually ran into BJ Leilua down in Albury for City Country in 2011. As you would be aware we had a stellar 2010 but a big fall from grace in 2011 so I asked him what was going wrong this year and he replied straight away 'We miss Robbo, he was the man!'

That's actually an excellent example, we've all seen how successful they have been by punting their coach without having a back up plan....and Bennett???? Were you not alive in 2006? You're more chance of being our next coach then he is

                                No it isn't.

We've got a good squad generally speaking, but the whole 'premiership fav' tag is not accurate.

This is not 2018/2019. Many key players from that squad are gone, and only 5-6 of them remain.

Several of them are on old legs and plagued by niggling injury, and are in their twilight.

Stop believing the NRL media and buying into what the Buzz Rothfields and Crawleys and moron's like that have to say.
