Just keeping it within the context it was intended. Why are you being so argumentative?

No I don’t think our reserve grade backline could win a comp. But our first grade backline is more than capable of.

        1. Teddy
        2. Suualli
        3. BSmith
        4. Manu
        5. Tupou

I’m surprised you don’t rate them.

And they are experts for a reason, whether you like them or not. They don’t get paid because they have no idea.

That’s a pretty decent backline……when they’re all in their rightful positions.

Billy Smith is still questionable. Granted he's played hardly any footy.

I don't think he was too bad defensively? last week but whenever he was running the ball he seemed easily handled by their defense.

I've written a lot in this thread trying to justify my position. We'll just have to agree to disagree because you are now being hostile.

That backline hasn’t played together once all season. How many of these experts had the Warriors or even the Broncos fighting for a top 4 spot?

The fact we beat NZ in NZ early on with Manu at 6 probably gave him false confidence. The coach is aware of stuff that we as fans are not privy to. We don’t have all the facts around selections or players. The Suaalii one frustrated me the most because he played very well on the wing last year. But maybe he thought S Smith wasn’t ready or he thought giving Luke full responsibility in the halves would help. With the Manu and Suaalii selection decision one seemed to depend on the other. Joey at 6 seemed to mean JS at centre. And remember most people here seem to hate Hutch or Momo or Allan at centre. It doesn’t give many other options. With Angus and the RU crap, how are we to know it didn’t affect the players to some degree. Yes they are supposed to be professional and all but the Angus thing could have been distracting for those close to him. I’ve read before that he and Sammy W are very tight for a start.

I understand Walker’s dropping and plenty of people have explained their perspectives on it here before. In the Cronulla game which we could have easily won he made some crucial errors by not taking the safer option and going for the all or nothing play. He did this at least twice and it cost us the game in the end. It’s perfectly normal for a young half to go through this sort of phase and Robbo chose to let him work on it in reserves rather than firsts. That’s his prerogative as coach. How many posters here complained that Robbo doesn’t sack players. Most want him to unrealistically drop half the team at various stages when there’s no obvious replacements yet when he actually does drop someone, it’s all up in arms as to why?

Im not saying Robbo’s perfect and he’s made some questionable decisions this year that haven’t worked out but in previous years these sorts of decisions would have paid off and nobody would even notice let alone complain.
First of all, thanks for replying. Most on here just get upset, defensive and argumentative when someone has a differing point of view from them and they don’t give any context to why they think they way they do.

It’s obvious (even to you) why people are frustrated with Robbo’s decisions. You have made a lot of valid points, but I still just disagree with alot of them. And it’s not hindsight hero because I hated it from the start.

I was happy to give Suualli a time to find his feet at centre but when it was round 8 and it wasn’t working still it was well and truly time to scrap that idea. It took Robbo way too long to put him back on the wing. He was well out of his depth at centre defensively and, in my opinion, it cost us more than Walker AND he is not committed long term so there was even less reason to persevere. Walker should’ve been left in first grade in my opinion and time put into him to fix his deficiencies. I stand by Gus’ situation and Suualli signing with RA should not be able to de-rail us. If it does, we are an awfully fragile club, and that’s not the roosters I know. Playing Drew at centre was another rookie error. I like Drew, I don’t even hate him in first grade - just not at centre. You’re not gunna have stars everywhere so I can tolerate some of the other players that others dislike on here.

All in all, everyone is not going to agree with each other on here but it is refreshing to hear context rather than people just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.

Whats the odds of this peanut being a multiple user or at least an unadvertised rebirth on here?

He seems a little full of himself for a newbie.

Thanks Chook, I agree it's so much better having a proper discussion / debate than the usual slanging matches and put downs that go on in here at times. I agree with you on JS. The experiment went on for way too long. I do think moving Joey to 6 and injuries to Momo and Smith may have contributed to the length of this experiment though. I also agree with you on Hutch. He should only ever play half. I did not understand why he was playing 4 at one point while Joey was 6. They should have been swapped. We'll have to disagree on Walker. Robbo is certainly responsible for these decisions but I think the other external factors plus another year of multiple injuries hasn't helped. But Robbo is certainly under more pressure than he has ever been that's for sure, which is a shame as I am a huge fan. But ultimately the team and results comes first.

This isn’t what hostile looks like, but I’m sorry if you think it is. You defend when warranted, I’ll criticise when warranted but let’s agree one one thing……..that we both continue to support the club, coach and players through thick and thin.

I'm not sure Jack but he seems to be looking for a fight. I think I should stick to the off topic section for a while now as it's exhausting in the main section.

Lol...well I think I best be cautious when approaching a discussion with you again then as I don;t want to see hostile. And yes as passionate fans all any of us really want is to see the team winning and playing to the best of their ability. It's been one very frustrating and disappointing year.

I hear on this forum that you’re pretty full most of the time, so that makes us even I guess. If you think you’re so clever, what do you think my other aliases or previous lives could be? I can wait until the Keno draw is finished.
