The experts picked us to finish top 4 did they? They’re obviously not much for being experts then.
1. Teddy
2. Suualli
3. BSmith
4. Manu
5. Tupou
I’m surprised you don’t rate them.
And they are experts for a reason, whether you like them or not. They don’t get paid because they have no idea.Last edited by Qld Chook; 07-19-2023, 07:18 PM.

I don't think he was too bad defensively? last week but whenever he was running the ball he seemed easily handled by their defense.Formerly Stringaz, from the old Wall!

The fact we beat NZ in NZ early on with Manu at 6 probably gave him false confidence. The coach is aware of stuff that we as fans are not privy to. We don’t have all the facts around selections or players. The Suaalii one frustrated me the most because he played very well on the wing last year. But maybe he thought S Smith wasn’t ready or he thought giving Luke full responsibility in the halves would help. With the Manu and Suaalii selection decision one seemed to depend on the other. Joey at 6 seemed to mean JS at centre. And remember most people here seem to hate Hutch or Momo or Allan at centre. It doesn’t give many other options. With Angus and the RU crap, how are we to know it didn’t affect the players to some degree. Yes they are supposed to be professional and all but the Angus thing could have been distracting for those close to him. I’ve read before that he and Sammy W are very tight for a start.
I understand Walker’s dropping and plenty of people have explained their perspectives on it here before. In the Cronulla game which we could have easily won he made some crucial errors by not taking the safer option and going for the all or nothing play. He did this at least twice and it cost us the game in the end. It’s perfectly normal for a young half to go through this sort of phase and Robbo chose to let him work on it in reserves rather than firsts. That’s his prerogative as coach. How many posters here complained that Robbo doesn’t sack players. Most want him to unrealistically drop half the team at various stages when there’s no obvious replacements yet when he actually does drop someone, it’s all up in arms as to why?
Im not saying Robbo’s perfect and he’s made some questionable decisions this year that haven’t worked out but in previous years these sorts of decisions would have paid off and nobody would even notice let alone complain.
It’s obvious (even to you) why people are frustrated with Robbo’s decisions. You have made a lot of valid points, but I still just disagree with alot of them. And it’s not hindsight hero because I hated it from the start.
I was happy to give Suualli a time to find his feet at centre but when it was round 8 and it wasn’t working still it was well and truly time to scrap that idea. It took Robbo way too long to put him back on the wing. He was well out of his depth at centre defensively and, in my opinion, it cost us more than Walker AND he is not committed long term so there was even less reason to persevere. Walker should’ve been left in first grade in my opinion and time put into him to fix his deficiencies. I stand by Gus’ situation and Suualli signing with RA should not be able to de-rail us. If it does, we are an awfully fragile club, and that’s not the roosters I know. Playing Drew at centre was another rookie error. I like Drew, I don’t even hate him in first grade - just not at centre. You’re not gunna have stars everywhere so I can tolerate some of the other players that others dislike on here.
All in all, everyone is not going to agree with each other on here but it is refreshing to hear context rather than people just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.

First of all, thanks for replying. Most on here just get upset, defensive and argumentative when someone has a differing point of view from them and they don’t give any context to why they think they way they do.
