Look that was a disappointing loss without a doubt. For the first 60 mins we were undoubtedly the better team. There is obviously something going on bts, but for all the trolls who come in every week saying Robbo out, get a grip. The greatest roosters coach, one of the greatest coaches of this generation, and to those saying that he’s been crap since 2019, obviously havent watched the 22,21 or 20 season where we were plagued by injuries come finals time, and in the case of 21, all season, yet still made it to 5. I want to keep the forum on a positive outlook:

congratulation to Toops. Absolute servant of the club, and still going strong. One of our best tonight.

Wong in his limited minutes looked really good

For the first time this year, Suaalii actually looked like he wanted to have a go

First time since the Eels game where we were throwing the ball around in our own half. Sure the final 20 metres were crap, but in a season that by all accounts looks over, it’s good to see some improvement

Sandon Smith despite having a lot of errors, still plays his heart out and appears exceptionally creative with the ball in hand. Hopefully our future half with Sam Walker

I’m going to say something controversial that will fire some people up.

I thought Radley looked good at 2nd row and I genuinely think if he continues to play well there for the rest of the season we should consider him there as a permanent 2nd rower. I know there were 2 dumb short side plays and the play the ball error but outside of that he was poking his head through the line, made some good offloads, gave good space and ball to Suaalii and helped out in yardage with some good carries.

Tend to agree. I think he runs his lines very well and shores up the edge defence. Just needs to learn to catch the ball

The positives are although our season is over it is on again next week and it is an exciting opportunity for us to go out after the game and dig ourself out of this hole

suaalii looked pretty good. we're just off the pace this year - we couldn't take advantage of our early dominance and couldn't hang tough when they had their chances. we had some very good ball movement but couldn't make it count

Agree with all this. I’m sick of ball playing Radley too.

The only positive is we are 1 game closer to the end of season 2023.

                    The season’s almost over.

But seriously, Toops 2 tries. Wong and Whyte show promise. S Smith also. We played well in the first half and at one point led the penalty count. Also Walker will return eventually.

Apart from not being capable of playing a ball, I mean how hard is it to actually play a ball yet Radley cant do it. Apart from his crap pass in the 1st half that went over the sideline, then not being able to catch JS tap down in the corner yeah he was great. Also on report,so typical Radley.

I posted this in the match day thread, thout I would paste in here as well.

Wow, the negativity on here is unbelievable.
We have had bad years before and bounced back.
Don't hand your membership in just yet.
We were starved of the ball, some soft penalties in the second half and the bounce of the ball went Storms way.
Congratulations Toops, club legend, my favourite player ATM.
Wong looks like a real prospect, Rads out next week hope he gets to start in the back row. How far has Radley dropped in form, he was one of my favourites now just frustrating.
Enjoy the rest of the year for what it is.
I don't think Walker should play again this year to rest up, but I'm no Dr. Work on his strength and bring it on next year.
People are entitled to their opinions but I just don't get the hate for Robbo, who are you going to replace him with. Last time we finished this low on the ladder Nick extended his contract.
We just keep giving away dumb penalties, it turned the game today.
Looking forward to the young winger from Nights next year. The forward from Panthers as well. Maybe a few less injuries and we are off to the races.

Chin up there is always next week

Rads is a 13 all day. He hasn’t forgotten how to ball play overnight but tend to agree that tonight he looked good but I feel that is because deep down he owes us for his misdemeanours this year and time away from the footy field

I think you’re onto something there. I thought he played pretty well the last two weeks. He just feels more effective at 2nd row. I’m looking forward to Sitili coming back into the team next year on one edge, maybe Radley could own the other.
