Should we be concerned that there’s no representatives in the U19 SOO game tonight?

Can’t recall the last time we haven’t had a representative in the U19 (previously U20’s) SOO, if ever?

Admitedly Robert Toia would probably have been there tonight if not injured but still a little concerning.

And many of those have been playing NSW Cup over the past couple of months due to the high injury toll.

Last year we had three Queenslanders, including Xavier Va’a the Queensland captain and one nsw player Tyler Moriarty who is currently injured. So I wouldn’t worry too much, it’s probably political, plus you go back and look at old sides and it’s surprising how many blokes don’t make it

I like the NSW half and the Qld front rower. The half Ethan Sanders has a great long kicking game, looks really composed and marshalled his troops well. He is stuck behind Moses and Brown so could be worth looking at as a replacement for Keary

The Sydney Roosters have launched their inaugural Elite Female Tricolours Academy, a program designed to develop 20 of the best emerging female athletes aged 16-18 in the NRLW pathway.

The Sydney Roosters are certainly investing in the Women's game in developing players - Central Coast Roosters also have a Women's Academy

The Sydney Roosters have won the past 2 under 19 Tarsha Gale Cups as well as playing in the last 3 Grand Finals in this comp and many players have progressed to the Women's NSW Cup with the Central Coast Roosters and NRLW

Central Coast Roosters also won the Under 17's 2023 Lisa Fiaola Cup Regional Northern comp this year.

NSWRL need to have a full under 17's Women's junior rep comp and an Under 21's for a proper pathway to NRLW - i.e Development squads / Under 17's / Under 19's/ Under 21's / NSW Cup

He is at South Sydney too…. Man the vermin are crushing it with their development. Duncan ( who they admittedly pinched off us) had a stellar game last weekend and their young winger Munro looks a real talent too.

We need to catch up.

2. According to Gus Gould every Ethan is Ethan Strange
3. Ethan Strange is apparently our own John "Strangey" Strange's young buck.

Not sure how that happened - Ethan his Son playing for the Raiders and his Daughter Jasmine signed to play for Newcastle Knights in the NRLW - 1 appearance for the Roosters in NRLW in the second comp in 2022 after coming back from an ACL.
