Considering our lowly position on the ladder every week, I can’t understand why we keep getting the so called top referees each round. The team looks better than it has for a long while with some players returning from injury. But I’m just waiting for the last minute withdrawal of 4 or 5/players due to a training mishap or other such issue, necessitating a reshuffle of positions.

Any reason why Storm have named a squad of 23?

We only have one prop on the bench. I'm wondering if Brown will be taking a few extra hit ups before Rads moves back to Lock.

The Strom don't get to reap the benefits of their dark arts as much away from home.

In fact, and not negating Penrith's effort against them last start, they weren't obliged against them at that closed roof stadium as much.

If we turn out like we did against Manly and utilize the SCG and spirits past, we could pip them on the weekend.

I'd prefer to keep Victor on the edge and move Nat into lock when Brown comes off and Egan can play on the edge.
I'm assuming both Whyte and Wong will be playing in the middle off the bench.

Hopefully they party like it's 1999.

You and me must be different. I have not once, not one time ever in my life, whether it is a regular season game, a semi final or a grand final, not ever once have I looked at who the referee will be or was. Not once ever. Is that honestly all you have to add?

Hoping for the best but none of the players have shown me anything to be confident.

Last week was a good step but even after with most of the ball we still couldn't put it away even if the ref was against us.

Just keep Nat & Victor on edges and play Whyte, Wong & Egan through the middle. That’s where Egan was most effective last year, he makes no impact on the edge.

Me too. Surely he has exceeded the amount of times you are allowed to say that shortly before being embarrassingly beaten. Just zip it and let the footy do the talking please.

But the problem is that Nat makes no impact on an edge either; he is purely a middle forward as well, where he’s excelled on his last couple of outings. It might be a choice between Nat and Egan in the team.
