  • Who are your top 10 NRL Fullbacks?

    1. Reece Walsh
    2. Dylan Edwards
    3. Clint Gutherson
    4. Tom Trbojevic
    5. Scott Drinkwater
    6. Will Kennedy
    7. Kalyn Ponga
    8. Xavier Savage

I've omitted James Tedesco and Latrell Mitchell who are also in my top 10. Where would they sit in your top 10?

Ryan Papenhuyzen is definitely in my top 2 when fit.

Savage wouldn’t be in my top 20 personally. Don’t rate him at all, and there is some bloody good fullbacks around. If everyone is fit it’s something like this:

    1. Teddy
    2. Turbo
    3. Paps
    4. Trell
    5. Ponga
    6. Gutho
    7. Walsh
    8. Drinky
    9. Edwards
    10. Kennedy

The fact you've put Xavier Savage who can't even get a crack in Canberra's 17 reveals a great deal...

Manu would be in the top 5, and the Hammer would be be close to top 10....

He isn't even the first choice fullback in reserve grade, Chevy Stewart is.

Although to be fair Stewart is a very promising player. I think he will Canberra's fullback next year.

When everyone fit, including the last year or two of form
              1. teddy
              2. rts - will be straight back near the top next year
              3. paps
              4. Walsh
              5. turbo
              6. Latrell - has some big moments but also gets found out at fullback not covering the field and lazy at times
              7. Edwards - reliable but has not attacking and ball playing abiliti - all the talks of replacing teddy, he runs 200mtr a game but cant help the outside backs and had a few errors a game
              8. gutho - don’t call yourself the king when there are plenty of fullbacks ahead of you
              9. ponga
              10. hammer

plenty of decent 1s running around
drinkwater, brimson, Campbell, CNK, kris, Kennedy

My problem with these 'top-10' lists is that there's 17 clubs, so you're naming more than 1/2 the viable FBs in the comp.

                Based on this season?

                1. Walsh
                2. Edwards
                3. Teddy
                4. Kennedy
                5. Latrell

... I dunno who else to name! Ponga's been outta form. Trbo's perpetually injured (last amazing game I saw him play was Origin ~3-4 years ago), Princess Gutho's proven nothing, Clock's Dad has been okay I guess and I caught Drinkwater with a Gatorade so his beverage consumption is a myth.

When in form I enjoy watching guys like Pap, Trbo and Ponga. IMO they shyte on Walsh. However, one can't argue with form and the Broncos have it. Teddy only creeps in there because his stats are still insane during a season where we have absolutely nothing. Latrell... people hate him on here (and I agree he does missing too often) but when he's not missing (usually for about 10-15 minutes each game), he'll win you the game. I dunno... Messi just walks around the field for most of the game. Maybe 'Trell's learned his tactic from Messi? :P

Drinkwater has a lot more to offer in attack than Edwards. Walsh’s talent is yet untapped , if he keeps his head he will become sensational. Papenhousen when fit was unstoppable. Teddy is Teddy and will always be top2-3 FBs even when struggling a bit, will always give you 100% and then some more. Fattrell I’d have roaming in the centres because Manu makes a better FB than him. Turbo when fit which hasn’t been for 2-3 years now. The rest are mid level .

                    At the moment

                    1. Reece Walsh
                    2. Daylight

                    3. Dylan Edwards

I like Savage and it's MY list. I also like Sloan. Both are future stars.

Manu and The Hammer will feature in the Top 10 centres. This is their strongest position imo.
