Eight years later and little has changed.

Except perhaps that they've finally broken me to the point that I'm now just a casual follower of the NRL. A Rooster for life. But haven't watched a non-Roosters game all year.

There was a media story last week of “ an agenda “ against Robinson and the club. I only saw the header. The NRL and media partnership agenda continued thru the weekend.
Sutton likely had a weekend in NZ after the Friday night game.
The NRL then trot out a fat overweight Cummins onto Brookvale to accomplish their desired effect. Of course the media commentators never mentioned the change of referee as they were part of the “ faark Easts” plan. It is so blatantly obvious and the stats provided here on the thread namely from Tommy Smith you can’t deny.

Not to have a whinge or anything, but we are genuinely the most hated club bar none. No other club even comes close.
I saw a thread on Reddit quoting Robbo on the poor forward pass call from the weekend game, and every single comment is just saying how we cheat and how he can't coach.
Any other club, even the more disliked ones, would have received some sympathy from most fans if they received the calls we got on the weekend. Anyway, it is what it is though.

I remember seeing that thread about the lack of penalties we receive in 2015. You did fantastic work with those stats.
When it was getting a lot of publicity, it seemed to get a bit better for a while. Lately though, normal service has resumed.

I can only put it down to unconscious bias. I assume the refs hate us just as much as the average NRL fan does.

Every fan hates us because we are known to “buy” our premierships. Even the storm get respect from other fans (after the salary cap scandal)because they rarely buy a superstar, manly have been forgiven for their Arthurson years where they corrupted the cap and admin for a long time. Sharks steroid years don’t get a mention, bulldogs salary cap year and Coffs Harbour scandal all seem to be forgotten.

regardless, we have won plenty in the last quarter of a century, and as much as other fans hate us, they would love to have our structure and bargaining power.

I will mention it again, never in the clubs history has there been the level of fake tabloid news stories directed at us.It sells whilst league bogan fans believe it therefore the level of hate or dislike continues to increase. 26–27 constant weeks of media drama that some thrive on but not me. The NRL and its media partners and the betting companies have a small market to work over but a large amount of time to milk the public over the long 26-27 week season.

Was trying to move on & forget about the weekends game & almost got there when i couldn't resist looking at those stats which gets the nostrils flaring again.

What can you do? Not much really.

But like others my disengagement from League has been obvious to people who know me the last 2yrs or so.

I used to watch lots of other games but don't anymore with this Valandys/ Abdo abomination version these days.

We didn’t get one penalty from after the 24th minute and even that penalty was for Garrick kicking out on the full.

The better side lost today, Manly didn’t earn any of their field position through being the better side, they were constantly gifted it. Some from our own stupidity but a lot of it gift wrapped by Ben Cummins.

I don’t like to whinge often about refs but all Roosters fans know about Ben Cummins, he just hasn’t got any time for us.

I dont see the problem, he is always consistent against us...........................

Got back from gym and have had Manly Cowboys game on for about 15 minutes Three six agains for Cowboys in this period We couldnt get one in the whole game against Manly in spite of our dominance in certain periods of the game
