Trent has created a style of football that he believes in and has attached it to our great club. In days gone by, teams played with different style rather than all the same way we have now.

Whether that style should change to suit the personnel at his disposal is what he is grappling with.

Do you change the players or the style?

I know what the majority of the Pen want
I mentioned this the other week , the fifth and last guys also talked about it ...I can't decide

does robbo have a set way he wants to play but the squad he currently has are incapable of playing the style he wants ?

has he tried to change the style by recruiting a different type of player but the style is so ingrained in our culture it hasn't worked ?

all jokes aside today roosters footy in robbos time has been strong power running in the forwards, strong defence that is not afraid to concede penalties for playing right on the limits of legality, somewhat flair in the ob's ...however it takes a particular type of player to play this style looking at the squad we have currently the 2 don't match ...jwh does, radley does, manu does, teddy did in his current form he does not, rugby Joe definitley does not , brandon smith may or may not , I'm not even sure Lindsay Collins fits what I think of as roosters footy , great player ...but a power running , bully type ala jwh hardly

      I'm undecided shit year anyway

As is a mistake on the set after a try.
How about the predictable, uncontested lolly kick on the last tackle. Has been in vogue since 2013.

Sam Walker must shake his head and tow the line to avoid being reprimanded.

Mate Just my opinion obviously - the Coach is living on past glories the last couple of years we have been very ordinary despite having some pretty good players. He was outcoached last year when Sowfffs cleaned us up in the finals and if you think having the lowest scoring stats in the Comp and poor defense is the way to go with no obvious game plan then that's great. Unfortunately, I have to put up with continual jibes from the Sowfffs fans about how bad we are and this is not pleasant at all apart from going out and watching the rubbish they are dishing up.

I thought we were rid of that ineffective bludger of a kick when Mitchell Pearce left the Club, unfortunately I was wrong!

I’ve never understood why we don’t try a spiral bomb for a change (ala Matt Burton and Cleary) instead of just keep sticking to the usual up and under which is more often than not diffused by the fullback!

If you keep doing the same thing you get the same results, maybe Trent thinks one day we will get a result from it!

"Roosters footy" died when the 6-again rule came into effect. So did Robbo's coaching acumen.

But you wouldn't want any other coach

every good team has a sense of purpose and if they want to add a respect for the history of the club and pride in wearing the jersey and call it roosters footy then i'm on board

I don’t think Robbo believes in his own rhetoric. It’s just a sales pitch to appease sponsors and promote good attendance at matches. The truth is we are washed up for 2023/4 and he knows it but we still need to keep our sponsors happy, & promote fan membership and attendance at games so he raves on with these absurd lies that we are on the verge of getting our mojo back. He’s even telling us we are in the fight for the premiership trophy. He must think we are all naive & gullible to believe in such trash.

robbo's a diplomat and always has the big picture in mind when he opens his mouth but that's not a bad thing.
saying that we're washed up for 2024 is unwarrantedly pessimistic.

I honestly don’t know what the big deal is about this. I hear Riff players talk about Panthers footy, Melbourne about Storm footy. Just last week I heard some bronco player at half time going on about how the team needs to start playing Broncos footy.

Robbo should have been a used car salesman Roosters way, Roosters footy, were ready to go, blah blah blah. Nobody knows what this bullshit meansIf you cut through the bullshit, he has stuffed up our last 2 seasons by hic crazy team selections and that is a fact

Roosters footy should only be mentioned after a premiership year.
