I’d like to see him pull himself out tbh. I understand it would be a bad look but he should be focusing all his energy in the Roosters right now and this would be fair enough for him to cite IMO. NSW series is done, the Roosters season still has a heartbeat (albeit very weak, personally I think we are done).

I’d also like to see him step down as captain of the club for the last 10 rounds just to relieve some more pressure. You can tell by watching him just how heavy a toll its all taken - his confidence is gone and he looks super fatigued.
JWH & Kez can take over for the rest of the season in an off-field & on-field role respectively (Refs would have a field day with JWH as on-field captain).

None of this will happen but if I were coach Robbo I’d take it out of Teddys hands and make it happen. It’s in the best interest of the club.

Teddy's never been a real high jumper when taking bombs. He's about body position and trying to keep the jumping attacker away from the ball.

If the kick is right, bombs are a raffle. He has a couple of times when the jumping attacker gets the ball and it's big news. Very little to do with why we're losing.

More of a problem is we don't have any attacking bombs ourselves that become raffles.

I would love to know what the fascination is in this country and the state of NSW in particular with tall poppy syndrome. It doesn’t matter who it is, what they have done, we love to tear people down. It’s like we enjoy to see others fail. It makes them more human.

Just seven months ago James Tedesco captained Australia, scored two tries and won the Man of the Match award in the World Cup Final. Let that sink in. Seven months ago!

He is a three time winner of the Brad Fittler medal (NSW player of the series), Dally M Winner and current captain of NSW and Australia.

Fast forward seven months from that World Cup victory and the Roosters have had their most inconsistent year in recent history. As Roosters captain Tedesco has shouldered much of the blame. The Roosters halves issues, hooker issues, suspensions and injuries have all contributed to Tedescos form.

Due to Tedesco having a slow start to the year and not getting his usual 80 points a game super coach score, people with very, very short memories are all of a sudden calling for James Tedesco to be dropped for NSW. The captain of Australia, NSW’s captain for the past four years, dropped. Just like that.

Does anyone seriously believe that if Tedesco played for the Panthers he would look any worse then Dylan Edwards!? The Panthers are absolutely flying, it’s easy to look good when surrounded with that talent.

Tedesco is 30, not 35. Billy Slater was still playing for Queensland at 35. Teddy has at least three great seasons ahead of him. For all you doubters just wait and see. Never knock a champion.
