Radley is a loose cannon who deserves a kick in the nuts for his headbutt and general petulant behaviour. I have no problem with Radley defending with aggression though and I hope it continues.
That's exactly the issue with Sammy. I love the kid, he's got some freakish talents but he needs to learn when to unleash them and when to play the long game. I had a similar discussion with somebody else on here and my comment was 'imagine busting your gut in defence for 3 sets in a row on your line, you finally get the ball back and then your fancy boy half back decides to go for the miracle play?' I know I would be off him and I imagine some of our forward leaders were too at different times

The worst coaching decision in the history of the club? I have no idea what it is - I thought the treatment of Wingy by Ricky signing Finchy was real bad and likely ended up costing us 2 premierships and a three-peat but it's not like we still shouldn't have won at least the 2004 Grand Final, we were a 20 point better team in that first half and should have buried the Dirty Dogs.

Freddy's final season was obviously a disaster but he got stitched up by a whole bunch of players that didn't deserve to wear our colours so I don't blame him for his whacky selections such as Anasta at full-back etc.

      Opes one marker ploy?

I dunno, not the dropping of Sammy but it's been a bad one.
We lost the GF against the Dogs because a) it rained and b) Hazem El Masri was allowed to continue to the tryline after he had been held.

I hope the Brandon Smith signing won't end up being in this league.

Was it freddy or anderson who trialled the one marker. The other coaching blunder was the 2009 squad. Bar a few

he was coming back from injury and got thrown on in the last 10. Cost us a spot in the gf imo.

Being forced to play Maubs and Matto in the centres is what cost us that game. I recall the Cows having a field day running fast backs at our slow centres.

Yeah. Doesn't Fancy Boy know the Roosters game plan is for the forward leaders to run one out and not pass for set after set (until the obligatory dropped ball), then on the odd occasion for Manu or Tedesco to run one out and not pass. Doesn't fancy boy realise that not only do Roosters fans expect our team to lose, we are expected to lose playing boring footy. Passing the ball is considered a miracle play for our team.

Not making JWH captain after Boyd and Jake. Appointing a ex winger Matt King as assistant coach another huge blunder.

So looking at the results after that,I can’t say I’m surprised..

the sooner we get rid of this imposter the better I mean what has he ever contributed this club!

hopefully Nick can pull some strings and grab Brad Arthur or what’s Stephen Kearney up to these days????

Are you serious? Robbo is an imposter and we need Brad Arthur? Have you recently received a lobotomy?

I think it is up there. Cheese has been an absolute dud who seems more likely to end up in the backrow than provide premium dummy half service. To think we gave up Verills for that dude.

I had to read it a few times too. Thought I was tripping.

The dropping of Sam Walker has proven to be one of the most bizarre, unsettling and tone deaf coaching decisions in recent memory. Cannot solely blame the season collapsing on that but it certainly has been a major catalyst. Not just for playing players out of position but basically undoing all the pre-season work we put in with our combinations and creating overall disharmony within the squad.

It got me thinking, is it the worst coaching decision in the history of our club? If not, give us some of your opinions and suggestions as to what was. Could be non-Roosters but preferably keep it Chooks themed.

I'm trying to think of other contenders for worst coaching decision but its escaping me so i'll go the room. Maybe playing Toops on the bench in a prelim? Retention and acquisition of players counts but I want to keep it largely coach themed, not board and club decision themed.
No, it's not even remotely the worst nor was it bizarre.

                              We've got short memories sometimes.

Walker was shot on confidence, and not only that appeared to be playing contrary to the game plan.

It was not remotely unusual for him to be sent to reserves for a while, especially at his age. It isnt the first time Robbo has done such a thing, and Robbo is not unique among coaches for having done it.

What was unforseen was the injury Sam suffered. You can't plan for those, and unfortunately it happened at the cusp of being elevated back into firsts.

                                Where there's smoke there's fire.

TRobbo and his consiglieri Cronk still play structure vs Sam who enjoys playing more liberally.

Perhaps our coaching staff should look at the results rookie coach Webster is achieving with veteran half Johnson. Shaun has a new lease of life playing look-up football.
