  • Can we just end it now.

Normally I get excited for every upcoming weekend through footy season.

Chooks playing, cold beer, family and friends over for a BBQ or even better going to the game but at the moment I just want the season to end, I don’t think I can sit through the same garbage each week.

Take this week for example, you wait until 6:15pm on a Sunday night to watch your team play, you get geed up and settle in with some beer and pizza and almost as quick as you sat down you realise what a waste of time it has been.

I’m at the stage right now of looking forward to 2024 and hopefully our fortunes take a positive change because I’m sorry to say but we are only making up the numbers.

I know some on here will shut me down and say I’m not a fan etc but I love this club, other than family it’s mostly all I think about and right now I’m just not feeling the love……from both sides.

The fact we are showing zero improvement against very very average teams has me feeling the same. I was up at 3.30am today, worked 5am-1pm, 1.5hr drive each way to watch that shit....sitting in the car now with the Mrs driving us home and an 8 year old asleep in the back....I think thats me done for the season attending games

I think I'm done as well. There's absolutely nothing to get excited about.

The Swans gave me a bit of joy last night, but even if Easts had scored a late try to win tonight, I'd still be feeling like sh!t.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I'm hoping for the best. I'm concerned by our recruitment next year, because Dom Young, Spencer and that English bloke Lewis Murphy aren't going to turn this team around. I'm all for starting to form combos and experience for next season, but haven't seen what Robbo and his coaching staff are trying to achieve. I can't recall a season where our attack has been so slow and predictable. Here's hoping.
