Give him a decent 5/8 and Taka will kill it.
Chook.

Anthony Mitchell - If the Cowgals don't sign Matt Ballin don't be surprised if they pursue Ant. He is afterall a Townsville junior.
Tom Symonds - Going great guns for the Jets but not happy playing NSW Cup (and i don't blame him). Might ask for a release to play for Parra.

He would be behind Guerra, Maubs, Arona, FMN, Bosden, Taka and Cordner at least. All young blokes too. It is always hard losing a rare junior, but you don't want someone on decent money running around at Henson Park.

Tommy is stuck behind 5-6 other players if he can get a start in first grade at another club good luck to him, he seems to be a decent kid.

I just have this bad feelings that the poor form symonds has produced in his latest first grade outings may have put him our of favour with smith. He is a great talent, a local junior and deserves a bit of game time. If he goes I would be disappointed but that said, this kind of thing we have to start getting used to as we cant keep them all nor pick them all in firsts at once
I made the remark earlier in the year that it looked like Tom was out of favour with Smith & would most likely be the one to miss out.
Looking more likely than ever at this stage with so many other signing being locked in. Would be great to keep them all but that just isn't possible.

Looking at the long term signings...
1. Minichiello (2013) / Perrett (????)
2. Tuivasa-Sheck (2013) / Perrett (????)
3. Kenny-Dowall (2015)
4. Moga (2014)
5. Tagive (2013)
6. Maloney (2015)
7. Pearce (2013)
8. Kennedy (2014)
9. Friend (2015)
10. Hargreaves (2015)
11. Guerra (2015)
12. Aubusson (2013)
13. Arona (2014)
14. Leilua (2014)
15. Cordner (2013) / Takairangi (2013) / Bosden (2013) / Nuuausala (2013) / Symonds (2014)
16. Masoe (2015)
17. Evans (2014) / Tasi (????)
I honestly feel that next year we are bound to lose at least 2-3 of Cordner, Takairangi, Bosden, Nuuausala, Aubusson and Symonds. With Guerra and Arona re-signing long term, it means that all these guys are going to have trouble cracking the team. I think Cordner and Aubusson will stay, but as for the others:
- Symonds and Nuuausala are proven quality players but both have struggled for injuries and form in recent time, and are now down in the pecking order; they will struggle to crack our top team but most clubs would love players of their caliber on board
- Takairangi is an awesome, freakish talent, but lacks the consistency required for a regular starting spot and seems to have been pushed behind Arona, Guerra and Cordner; again, he would be a great pick-up for another club if given the opportunity
- Bosden is a strong and tough kid, but I don't see what he offers that Guerra, Aubusson, Cordner and co. don't offer; I reckon he will be snagged by a team like Tigers or the Bulldogs and go big

Therefore the way I see it playing out is like this: only 2 out of taka, symonds and cherro will stay (my preference being symonds and cherro); 1 out of FPN and bosden will stay (im undecided on who I prefer although Im leaning towards Bosden as the money FPN is on could come in handy when it comes to upgrading a lot of the other guys and im a massive bosden fan).
Cordner is a must keep and imo will stay undoubtedly although I do find it interesting not only that we locked guerra in for 3 years but that he agreed considering that he would be well aware of the likelihood of losing his place in first grade to cordner in the not too distant future. As a supporter, this does make me happy in any case as this kind of depth can never be complained about
