Of those listed for the Hall of Fame, personally I would like to see my fave player Johnny Brass inducted. In my longtime of following Easts I regard him as the most complete footy player I’ve seen in the RWB with Aubo not far behind.
Brass a dual international, captain at various times, great defender, slick passing, goal kicker and try scorer and not an ounce of inflated ego. A real gentleman. He played under 2 captain coaches and 3 regular coaches and it was a delight to see him play and alongside Mark Harris who had the best fend and swerve. Fond memories indeed.

Most people who know more than me or are historians of RL usually say the Easts side of the 30's is the 2nd best club side in history behind only the great St George side of the 50's and 60's.

For that reason, we should celebrate our history and those players by inducting all the major players in those premiership triumphs. Norval, Thicknesse, Norman, Tottey, etc.

I think maybe you are having a go. Russell is a legend both on and off the field for the Roosters. Top bloke to go with it. 77 Amco cup, you do have a good memory though.

If I was judge our goals would definitely cope. I'd hang the lot of them.
Fairfax lost a bit of his flair when he broke his leg in the 1975 Amco Cup semi final against Auckland when he collided with Mark Harris, his electrifying best never seemed to recover after that incident even though he still had pretty decent seasons in 1976-77.

I often wonder why Bob Fulton didn't take up the goal kicking role in the 1977 Amco Cup final as he was a decent short range goal kicker and kicked a few goals for Easts in 1978.

I'm not having a go. I love Fairy. In fact I bought 5 packets of footy cards to try and get him and I ended up with 5 Terry Wickeys instead.

They must have massed produced Terry because if memory serves me I had about 5 of him in his chocolate soldiers outfit as well Bruce.
Fairy had magical hands and I reckon anyone who was in an repeat premiership team deserves a gong in the hall of fame if they were a great player at the time.

Fair enough Brassy. I read some newspaper articles about the 74GF a few years ago and some journalists were comparing Fairy's performance with Gasnier. High praise indeed.

Weren't those Terry Wicky cards infuriating? I wished the gum would have stuck permanently across his melon. I'm 95% sure it was 1977 edition. I swear they must have printed about 500 Fairy cards and 50,000 Terry Wicky cards that year.

I wonder if King Salvo can place them side by side next to each other.

Side note, is this something the club saved for a shyte season?

                        6. Mark Harris

Others i considered included Anthony Mini, Bunny Reilly, Kevin Junee, Adrian Morley

Id also consider Barney Dalton- not just because he won 2 consecutive premierships, but as a gangster he went about his business in the streets of Sydney wearing his old Easts jumper-that's commitment!

Dalton qualifies - 61 first grade games. They've ruined the Strand hotel where he got whacked.

So with the nominations, if a player from this chosen lot does not make the HoF this time around, are they then cast aside? Or will they be eligble in the future?
So if Brass or Ricko aren't making it now, then maybe next time they will? Well if they are eligble next time, how does another year or so change things?
I don't see why they just don't go back to every era from 1908 to say 2015 and add all who should be in it.
Ideally this shoudl have been started in 1920 or something and then just added to every decade? The Dolphins have a chance to start this now.
So catch it all up and lets make it an event for modern players we can celebrate and thye can rejoice while hopefully being still alive.

If not selected they can be considered again by the selection panel if nominated
