  • Pearce and Leilua in City/Country.

Pearce 3 try asissts, 2 linebreak assists. 9/10 kicking game. No useless bombs. Grubbered through the line alot, great at kicking into corners. Strong defence. Took on the line alot.

Leilua 1 linebreak, 1 try-assist, 1 linebreak assist. Strong running. Done great at holding up the final pass for the first Turner try. Good dummy to the winger and strong fend on Matt King to power between the centre and winger for a linebreak which then led to a pass to Pearce who passed to Coote for a try. Proved hard to be put down by 1 defender.

Freddo let Pearce play everywhere (well he had to as Hayne was well off the pace) and he seriously put on a clinic, where did all the superb short kicking at the line come from? He put more grubbers on in that match than he has all season for us.

BJ destroyed King in the first half and snubbed Josh Morris out of the second, great match by him.

Yes, congratulations to both of them, they both played out of their skin today and showed us their true talents.

      Well done boys!!

        Both had good games.

        Pearce particularly so.

Looking forward to seeing him and Carney getting the band back together in Origin.

Be nice for our retarded management to see what they blew.

Must have missed that try of BJ's....yep definitely should be seeing pearce and carney in the halves together come SOO I, could be the Blues saviours if they both fire. Unfortunately they both have a tendency to choke in big games....hopefully they prove me wrong
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

BJ is on report for a cat act against Fergusson where he twisted his arm into a nasty position.

Hope he gets a week for it.

Given the amount of criticism Peace copped this week, I'd say this was a big game in his career.

Frankly we've seen some super performances for our youngsters (Evans, Pearce, BJ in particular). Once we develop some cohesion and chemistry I'm sure the Roosters have a big few years ahead of them. POS has certainly earned his money in this regard.

Both did perform well today. On the back of that performance Pearce should hold onto his NSW 7 jumper. 1 criticism of Pearce is that he really does need to learn how to weight his grubbers better, far to many went dead in goal. With better coaching these two can achieve so much more. BJ's defense was excellent and when he made that bust through King to set up a try was outstanding, i want to see much much more of that from him!!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                        Here's looking at you, kid.
