Defense looking more connected, his advice has a few moving on June 30

  • #2
Good I hope so.Friend was smart player and a huge heart for the game..winning SOO an dplayer of the series in his only attempt was no fluke ... they always shouldve had him on the bench not wait 10 years to give him a run..Hope the coaching gig works out for him...remember Friendy no friends in league when coaching. Bring the hate back.

It’ll take more than a few weeks to undo what that prick Ryles did to that wall.

Saturdays effort especially the on the goal line defense and kick chase had Jakey's fingerprints on it.......plenty of 1 percenters.....

Sure the Knoughts made quite a few linebreaks but they were usually made on a shift from the middle to the edge around midfield where we totally have no pace to counter Ponga. But the boys turned and chased and showed a real attitude change in this game.

Just waiting for the blind side raid near the opposition tryline and the transfomation will be complete lol......

Not expecting us to become a wall yet, but I liked the change in attitude.....they had a dig, but the top sides will still account for us pretty easily atm,.....

I sat behind the posts on Saturday and had a great view of our defensive line. I don’t mean to be negative but there were gaps everywhere. Newcastle had us on many occasions. If not for their constant poor execution they would have put a big score on us.

I totally agree 13. The naughts blew it thru thier errors. Gave us the win. And what we have going on cant be fixed in 2 weeks

I think 2023 goes down as one of those years. 2024 will be better.

I thought a prime example of this was Corey Allan slipping and missing the tackle that lead to the Knights break down field only for him to get up and chase and join in the try saving cover tackle.

I was also flabbergasted at their fitness levels. We used to be the gold standard in the NRL in that area. No other team was close.

With 20 to go, they were ALL completely gassed. May came on AFTER halftime, made a few tackles and then looked like he was on a covid ventilator.
