    Saab or JAC you'd think

Who would be the quickest at the Roosters? If counting the lower grades it would be Allan Fitzgibbon without a doubt but out of the current NRL squad I think Paulo is the only one with known pace?

The fox and hammer have footy speed, I love the way they glide over the turf and don't lose pace changing direction but I think Saab would swallow them up like Bolt with his long legs over 100 at the back end.

I watched a Manly game a couple of weeks back where Saab ran a support off a break and took the pass from maybe Garrick?

He deadset came from nowhere, so quick. Maybe Addocarr is losing pace with age (slightly) and Saab would be the fastest now.

Toops would surely be our quickest over 100m, or perhaps Suualii.

I heard that Connor Watson (at least, pre knee injury) goes alright in a 50m or 100m dash too.

Pearce used to be really quick back in the day, and would regularly run down opposition outside backs.

Fastest in the game off the mark / over 50 meters would surely be Addo Carr.
Suualii is not fast. It’s a myth. I’ve closely watched him since his debut. I’ve never seen him in clear and go on to score. Always run down.
not bagging him but I know he’s not quick

As an ex-sprinter my only caveat to all these discussions is that I dunno if straight line speed is THAT important in the NRL. I know the Fox is an exception but when I think about 'footy speed' I picture guys like the Cheese, Teddy, Grant, Munster, Ponga...etc. Teddy would be up there. Him or Grant maybe?

I know he's outta favour with lotsa fans but IMO Cheese would have our fastest, most evasive ball players. He's shown this 2 or 3 times this year and is unstoppable when he catches you sleeping. He'll lure you in with all his funny faces too. Has just had horrible luck with injuries.
the only exception is Hutch whose speed does not vary with his non existent step

The other Pom is lightning quick ..but he has to recover from and ACL..me thinks the News Pom will get a start at center and the new Pom right wing..which poses sthe question The Newcs Pom is right hand player so who goes where as In relation to Manu.
