  • Manu

We looked much better with Manu playing fullback in yesterdays win over the Knights. He new exactly when to chime in and never over played his hand!

He's definitely my 1st choice fullback moving forward.

It's the first time this year Manu has looked interested. I think the chooks might have a huge decision to make

I think he is a gun fullback. But people forget just how good Teddy is. He single handedly nearly won us the game against the dragons and carried us against the dogs.

I believe Manu can have an impact at centre it’s just about injecting himself and his half feeding him plenty of early ball. He has no excuse to not keep his fullback work rate up when playing centre.

Did Manu play many games at fullback in the Under 20's?

Absolutely. You could see the excitement in his face during the warm up. He was buzzing!

I thought it'd nice to give Manu some recognition and have an open discussion about his positive effect on the team. What are your thoughts on his game yesterday?

Only a matter of time until the first media article comes out this week

"Should Roosters move Manu to fullback, Teddy to 5/8?"

Teddy would be more effective on the wing than 5/8. He's played there before. It also make's good business sense to shop him around whilst he's a current rep player. That would free up $1.1 mill a year. The Tigers fans and Tim Sheens would love to have him back.

                      Agreed
Manu should be able to play like he did every week no matter what number is on his back.
He run with more purpose against the knights, that has nothing to do with what position he plays.
He's been playing lazy all year , now he decides to have a crack people think he should push Teddy out...

What BS Teddy tries his heart out every week, if the same could be said for the rest of our squad we would be in the top 4.

Manu’s best position is fullback however our Centre stocks without him are questionable. Not much there. It’s evident by the fact majority of the time the Roosters run a set play, the playmaker will opt for a short ball to a charging Crighton or Sitili then pass out it out. I don’t blame them, the centres, and Teddy have been running laterally and need to straighten up the attack. Our strike our wife is predictable, which is why we haven’t scored many points this season.

Another point to make is that the Knights were shyte and we still almost lost. Whereas we are always spitting chips when we have narrow losses.

I wouldn't personally put too much weight on the victory against the Knights. While I'll always take a win, it's not as if everything went well just because we won.

Ok, who are we going to sign or do we just get rid of him for the sake of it?
