Clean out time. Who should go and why? Not many that I would drop from our squad. I'd rather the NRL do a clean out. Get rid of the following
1. Souffs
2. PvL
3. Sutton, Cummins and Klein
4. Gus Gould
5. Tallis
Corey Allen (Offers zero in attack and defence, I've seen sun dials with more speed)
Nat Butcher (Too small, no leg drive, doesn't even bend the line let alone break it)
Matt Lodge (Appears fat, lazy and totally disinterested this year)
Paul Momorovski (Slow in attack and tackles like a man with no arms)
Connor Watson (Injury prone and wasn't going that great
Jaxson Paulo (Shaky under the high ball and cannot make a defensive read)
On the fringe
Victor Radly (For an allegedly smart player, does a lot of dumb things)
Angus Crighton (Is a ghost of his old self, appears lost and maybe needs the rest of the year off to get his head right)
Billy Smith (Would love to see an extended injury free run for Billy, to see exactly whether he's got what it takes)
Egan Butcher (Has some real potential, just not sure whether we'll get to see him unlock it)
Brandon Smith (Needs to get some real good cardio fitness and a much better attitude)
Joseph Suallii (2022 wing form or off to union you go)
Terrell May (I love this kid and feel he has massive potential, but if the rumours regarding his training ethic and attitude are right needs and attitude adjustment of cut loose)
Luke Keary (Appears to have lost a lot of speed and confidence)

Hard to argue with your views here, except that Suaalii should be on the “goodbye” list; I just can’t see the point of keeping him for next year even on the wing as he’s pretty average at best.
Maybe if Angus was back out on his edge he’d be more effective. Coming back from mental health issues then played out of position by the coach couldn’t be helping.
I think Billy Smith has the ingredients to be very good, he just needs the errors coached out of his game and stop trying too hard, like he’s making up for lost time.
Tbh only a couple from out top 17 I can see going
suaali - so dissapointing so happy not to pay $700k for an average player
lodge - no where near $800k standards
and we have signed young and leniu to take these spots anyway
only others in 17 are Watson who can play himself into anther contract when back, unfortunately injuries have crueled him to date so May see same fate as verrils
and smith who I think will be resign
orher then that all other players on back up
baker gone
Allen will go
paulo can’t see being back after falling down pecking order
happy to release momo early - not a 1st grader
hutch
would like to retain May, Turpin and need to keep Whyte
on the fence with brown, happy to keep him and not pay overs Bur understand he could go
I feel sorry for Joe S. He seems a decent level headed person. It's not his fault that he is a good winger playing out of position. Every man and his dog, bar one, can see he is not a centre . He told the chooks right off he was keen to play rugby. The hierarchy were delusional to think the "Roosters Way (TM) " would keep him with us. Robbo had cruelled him (as he often does with young players with potential). My wish (apart from moving the players back into their rightful positions) is we stop buying bargain basement outside backs, in the forlorn hope we find another Morris. Tax Radley if they are short on the salary cap.

Yes another player robbo has screwed over with positional changes
ala suaali / manu / keary / Walker / gus
problem is you will have bargiin basement outside backs as you need to fill a top 30 squad
you want to fill a good backline but when injured strikes they will be used
so it’s luck if the draw with injures if they get shown up or not
many on this forum we’re advocating early on for suaali to be in centre as he was wasted on wing and good defensively but that fell on def ears quickly
even as a winger $700k is abit far stretched
what we need is someone to lock down left centre, hoping toia in next year or so and pace - which young should provide
our top backline is decent this year but when guys are played out of position and injuries occur form drops and weaker players have to be played
