Even when he played with us he was a lazy prick who was out of position often.
Yes a brilliant natural talent.... but a big headed sook as well.

Latrell created space for everyone around him as he always attracted 2 or 3 defenders. I bet you luke Keary misses him dearly, it made his job a whole lot easier

On behalf of the Chookpen and the wider Roosters fanbase, I’d like to wish a former Chook, Latrell M, a happy birthday.

        Three cheers!

        Hip, hip

He does that at the buffet too.

Doesn't want to get injured but stay fresh for NRL campaign. Cody's the same. They genuinely believe they can win the title this year.

Despite his impressive form and scary talent, Brandy & Freddy should grow a pair, learn from this experience and offer the opportunity to someone like Campbell Graham who WANTS to play for their State.

            Rant over!
            So do I.
They’re a massive chance of winning the comp this year

He is still the best centre the Roosters have ever had.
Better than Harris, Brass, Manu & who ever else you want to name. No other centre who has played for the Chooks has been a game breaker like him.
I just wish he was still at the Chooks.
Put it this way if he started out at Souths the Chooks would have bought him, 1 million percent.

I understand what you're saying, and definitely there is something incredible about Latrell, but Manu has arguably outright won us more games off his own back.

Manu sometimes goes missing like Latrell sometimes used to but on his day Latrell was more destructive & more of a game breaker IMO.

Maybe. He probably had more 10 out of 10 moments, but Manu might have had more 8 out of 10's across the course of the game. Either way, it was tremendous watching them both play in the same side for us.
They both have a tendency to go missing, but I guess that's part and parcel of playing centre. Sometimes you just get starved.

One of the best centre match-ups I can remember was a test match between Aus and NZ a few years back. Maybe in 2019. Latrell and Manu went blow for blow and it was such a great contest, but Manu eventually came away the victor. I think Latrell may have even congratulated him on being the best centre in the world after the game.

                      Only if......
Cody and Latrell remain fit at finals time.

Oh and FWIW, like me was anyone else taken by surprise when weeks before Origin selection Mr Jack Wighton announced his sudden retirement from playing Origin?
                          Hmmm, think deep.
Based on what's allegedly transpired between LM and Freddy and where Jack is headed in 2024 seems contrived.

                            .
I remember the game & it was a great matchup but I think Latrell was more saying that because he thinks he’s a FB.
Latrell has this unique ability to pull off big plays at the right times but they can both be outstanding on their day. This is only my opinion but if the 17 NRL clubs had the choice to have Joey or Latrell in their side they would pick Latrell.

Rubbish. So forget about everyone else in the team and give all the credit to Mitchell ??
He probably played outside the best halves pairing and behind the best forward pack too.
I am happy the big head is not a Rooster, we made him, and he shat on us.
He will always be shiit in my book.

I think Dave Brown and Dally Messenger were the two best centres the Roosters have ever had or have ever been. Mitchell isn’t fit to tie their bootlaces.
