Our next halves option to hopefully partner Walker in the future has to have a big boot and big frame to handle the rigours of defending on the edge against backrowers.
We can't afford to have another small half as I don't see Walker ever getting real big and we can't have two in the team.

He is apparently on good coin at Manly with a big offer from the Tigers, plus he seems a bit lazy.

I don't understand why some want Pearce as a half, I don't mind him as a bench player but he is all but retired.
We need to find a long term signing not a short term final contract signing.

The halves market for the next few years doesn't look the best. Sandon/Walker combo wouldn't mind seeing for a season. Does anyone know how Hugo Savala or Taipari are tracking in terms of making a run for first grade? Anyone in the younger grades?

So the mail at the moment is that Luke Brooks is leaving the Tigers and is most likely to end up at the Cowboys.
Allegedly Chad Townsend is currently be shopped around to some Sydney clubs by the Cows......I just hope that the Roosters don't fall into the trap of thinking he could be an experienced hand to lead Walker and the other young guys around. He is and has always been one of the worst halfbacks in the NRL, slow, crap kicking game and so often takes the wrong option, and soo slow. I can deal with Pearce at 14, but I pray this guy never comes within a mile of our great club.

That’s the thing I’m most concerned with as well. When you’re on the nose with Robbo, you’re pretty much done.
