I don’t like bad bosses either but if I wasn’t in a position where I could change things and I needed to keep my job, I would not speak out publicly where there’s a chance the boss would find out. It wouldn’t stop me whinging to my co-workers or family / friends though - except to those I know are close allies of the boss. Having said that I would love to have Robbo as a boss. One of his great strengths is he is a very good people manager.

In what way does he value add?

He provides updates around the club that sometimes others would not see esp. with the lowers and womens news which I appreciate. He is a genuine supporter and I will always back that. He attacks the resident troll in the off topic section with some good old fashioned common sense and club/country loyalty. Has a sense of humour. Is passionate about his sport.

Beats the boring lazy one liners from wanabees defending their fragile egos, using social media.

Apart from the aforementioned prize troll, there's others here who deserve to be dumped on way ahead of the King.

Attacking people because of their age or economic/social status is happening on here...its weak and dont want those people in our supporter base either.

the chookpen's influence has made its way into the media. turps and pauga were asked today about robbo, about how fans are complaining about him. their answers which were supportive of robbo seemed genuine to me. clearly it's stockholm syndrome. they're being held captive by robbo and don't know what's up and what's down ... either that or there's a lot of piss and wind on the chookpen

Robbo said only a couple of weeks ago these losses were on him which vindicates the chookpen sentiment. We only expect our team to play good footy win or lose, not drop the ball every second set. They are professionals getting paid enormous $$ to do a job so they are accountable. Just turning up and committing 15 errors is not acceptable and fans rightfully point this out.

but you're not seeing the wood for the trees. yes it is true that an employee might sensibly lie about what he thinks about his boss to keep his job that doesn't prove that turpin was lying. i don't think he was lying.

fans are entitled to expect their team to try and do their best. no one likes losses, particularly when we should be doing better but i think the team is trying. it's just not working. is the solution to sack robbo? i don't think it is.
yes, robbo said it's on him and it ultimately is but it's not just on him, the players are also a factor. they need to take responsibility.

I don’t think he was lying either. You must not have read my entire post. I was saying most people would not publicly speak out against their boss, however in this instance as I see Robbo as a great people manager I would suggest the players view him as a great boss and therefore would have no reason to speak out against him anyway.
