Your Team Against Newey

My team would be:
1. Manu (Golden Boot winner there, easy pick)
2. Tupou
3. B Smith
4. Pauga
5. Paulo (Pauga & him can swap depending on who is more suited to what)
6. Keary
7. Smith (Walker if fit but doubt it, we desperately need a second ball player in the halves to relieve pressure from Keary especially with Rads out)
8. JWH
9. Turpin
10. May (Robbo can be an adult & put his hurt feelings aside for the betterment of the club)
11. Crichton (is he out of form or just out of position playing middle, at least this way we will know)
12. Sitili (prefer him running at halves)
13. Whyte (topped most the stats in reserve grade again, absolutely killing it)
14. Hutch (covers hooker, halves, centre)
15. EButcher (view him as a middle, not an edge forward)
16. Wong
17. Brown
Feel rough on Nat but he isn’t offering a lot atm (at least Egan has some leg speed). Lodge doesn’t look very invested and his defence has been terrible so he can have a spell too.Last edited by Qld Chook; 06-12-2023, 09:25 PM.

I reckon he has a couple of mates in the squad in that regard, and it is likely thats why team harmony is at a very low ebb.

I doubt you will see May. Roosters want him out. Lazy trainer and bad mouthed Robbo for not being selected in first grade. His days are numbered at The Roosters. We should have kept Baker.

Pissing into the wind to name a team now. Let's wait and see what the Guru comes up with.
I wonder what amazing response he will have to turn our season around.
I expect the same shiit different week.
He will probably be FORCED to move Manu either to fullback or centre.
and therefore FORCED to put Keary back at 5/8
and HOPEFULLY put S. Smith at half.
If he puts Hutch in the anywhere in the starting 13, or even 17, and persists with 2 butchers starting then we may as well not waste the petrol going there.Last edited by NorfolkStreetKid; 06-13-2023, 09:14 AM.

A few of the Roosters’ next generation forwards put in a lot of effort to try and get their side over the line. Naufahu Whyte finished with 251 metres — 109 post-contact — as well as seven tackle busts and 24 tackles with two misses, while Siua Wong notched up 232 metres, a linebreak assist, seven tackle busts and 31 tackles with four misses.

Can’t be too suprised when they leave for opportunities if he doesn’t give them any.Last edited by Qld Chook; 06-13-2023, 08:57 AM.
