  • Players in contention from Reggies

So from what I have seen from the Bears and Roosters Cup I would list the following as being able to step up.
That being said, it’s always so much harder coming into a team going busted. My list does not include young rookies like Thomas Deakin who will be great but need time to develop.

Would love the opinion of those that watch cup.

    Wong
    Whyte
    Katoa (winger )
Fletcher Baker ( I understand he is leaving)

I'd be giving them all a go, a good shake up for the Butchers, Angus, Lodge.
we have invested in them and have to give them a go sooner or later, and sooner is always better.
They can't do any worse, their learning will begin,
and we have such a great coach how can they not thrive?

Just Whyte. He’s the only one who’s been a standout.

Get rid of Gus. Offering nothing and only gets picked on reputation. It appears as if he’s still tripping.

I don't think hes in our pickable squad, but I'd love to see Allan Fitz get a go in firsts.

They have to take the young players with the most potential and start blooding them in first grade. Start fresh next year with a new coach.

Probably Teddy, Keary, Collins and Toups should stay and the rest should look elsewhere. Radley is too risky to keep.

Whyte definitely needs to be given an opportunity. He has the potential to be our new SST.
Pointless playing Baker if he's leaving

Whyte has been the standout this year after a fairly average 2022.

There is also a young half by the name of Walker playing in the lower grades that goes alright, he should come back from an injury very soon.

Whyte isn't rated by many on here though

Exactly, none of these guys are going to get promoted anyway so what’s the point?

Not sure if anyone noticed by Zach Docker Clay was 18th msn. So he must be close to selecting, which in my opinion would be another baffling decision. Also don’t be surprised if Ethan King winds up playing fullback at some point, I just have a feeling this might happen.

Whyte is the obvious standout, he’s been playing 80 minutes a game, racking up big meters. In prop though, so they obviously no longer see him as a second rower. And Wong is the other one to watch, still has some areas to work on but personally I think this season is a write off so might as welll give him first grade experience. I also like Tyler Moriarty but he’s injured not sure for how long.

Next week’s centre pairing, Hutch and Whyte.
