he knows the halves combo isn’t working. He mentioned nothing was happening ( Joey not offering enough there today) so he had to put in Sandon Smith, he also noted it’s been disappointing (the halves combo) for a few weeks now.
Is he being forced to play manu at 5/8 by uncle Nick?
Robbo was also asked if he’s going to change the halves and go in a different direction next week and he said ..yeah I don’t know..

Look at the person that isn’t being asked the question for their facial movement and gives. It probably gives a better answer to what’s being asked than the responder. The poor stand-in Saints coach when Ben Hunt confirmed he’d spoken to Shane Flanagan was a ripper.

2023 Robbo is a fraud.

He looks clueless and weak constantly deflecting. I find his pressers embarrassing and fake.

He finally admitted the outrageous Manu @ 5/8 experiment wasn’t offering much and was disappointing validating what was said on here a month ago (albeit, who knows, he will probably name him there next week) I’m frustrated out of my mind. We are not improving any areas of our game week to week. We are somehow getting worse, wtf are the coaching staff doing. Start giving some young blokes like Whyte, May, Wong and whoever else is performing in reserve grade a go. They need to stop doing whatever they are doing at training and start all over again.

I like him but he needs to ask more direct questions, they were too open ended which is why he gets brushed so easily in so many press conferences.

No coach is going to respond to a general question asking them to break down everything that’s going wrong in attack in a 5min press conference.

The more direct question about the halves got a more revealing answer - clearly Robinson hasn’t been impressed over the last few weeks and it looks like it should end the trial of Manu as 5/8.

A very true and necessary skill for the trained observer. Very helpful in general to study all possible signs. It must also be taken into account that Teddy will naturally try to curtail his most honest response, considering the pecking order where Robbo is above him, to a degree. Denmark, rotten, state, and all that.

Gave robbo a couple of good stiff questions, the ones that aren’t the usual “ robbo thought’s on the game? ” and like per usual our coach had nothing.. didn’t want to answer one regarding our attack

Robbo is without doubt the worst coach in the NRL these days… I’d take the Dragons interim over him any day

Sold out the club and all his players at the end of last year… which was why I joined the Chookpen… to make this entirely clear to all the ring kissers and hopeless sycophants here

The guy needs to be flushed from the club pronto… if we have any self respect that is

he's been asking good questions for a while now and robbo has been answering them in weeks gone by. robbo couldn't win with a response last night - if he'd given a detailed reply disgruntled fans would have said it's just all talk

The players 100% aren't responding to Robbo. Going to be interesting from here which path the club chooses to take. Either numerous players need to go or Robbo needs to go

Just no effort Salvo - missed tackles. Robinson said himself that was so disappointing. 100 metre try. No urgency. No numbers. Just my opinion thou. Don't forget the team did not respond to the Cowboys loss. And then after the ' first ' Penrith flogging - they lost to the Dragons.
