  • Rest Cordner on Anzac Day

The guy is playing this weekend and a break from firsts might be what he needs. I honestly didnt realise how young he is. Thoughts?

I still feel Cordner is 1 year away from FG.

Yes so I would rest him.

Jesus, thats all you need, another excuse for a meltdown. Here is a thought, afterwards, turn over and ask for some sucky sucky. This should ease your issues.

On the subject, they should rest Anasta. Cordner is young, more games the better. It won't hurt him.

I think we will see boyds talents really come through in the next two years. He made first grade way too early however we are a struggling club and this happens with a potential star coming through. On a selfish note He should do a budurus and say he has an "injury" and pull put of the 20's so he can be fresh for us however it might be just the game to get his confidence up smashing kids his own age.

good players dont need a rest this early in the season, good players force bad players to have a "rest".

If you pay attention to the way Smith brings kids through this is exactly how he manages them - regular exposure to first grade with sporadic rests in the lower grades. He tends to run a squad rather than a 17.

It's not as if Cordner has played every game this season. He has already been rested/injured for one or two. And it's not as if he plays 80 mins.

Let the kid blow out some cobwebs against kids his own age where he will excel.

He could just as easily be injured on the training paddock as playing in this weekend's game.

This NYC game will be like a training run for him.

Boyds problem at the moment is too little game time, the last thing he needs is another "rest".
