The thing I can’t find an answer for is why did the wingers play on the opposite sides of their club position? Doesn’t Addo Carr usually play left and To’o play right?
Also had it been Pearce who dished out that performance last night he would’ve been the main culprit to blame for the loss, yet Cleary’s below average game is hardly mentioned .

I like your point about combinations. Yeh lack of spine combinations doesn’t seem to affect QLD too much. Queensland just has more passion for origin than what NSW has. It’s always been the case.

I've got no idea about our forwards for the Blues, but interested to know your thoughts on the backline that should be picked Game 2. I was thinking maybe:

I’d like to see the back of Carr. You need more than speed for origin. Unless he’s in space he’s useless and gets thrown around like a rag-doll.

I thought Crichton was good last night so I’d keep him.

Sadly Teddy needs to go. His attempted tackle on Cobbo showed us he’s uninterested and not committed to the NSW cause anymore. Plus his club side needs him to focus on them and that’s pretty difficult if he’s away for the bulk of 6 weeks.

Good quality game at oranges in the girls origin. Only downside is the high error rate, which has come more from poor passes than takes. Seems to get a little better each year. No quarters given in the defensive contact tonight.

Be hard to make many changes and as Gould said you need players that have done it before - no place for the rookie or first gamers

Mitchell will come into the side and possibly Cook as a second Dummy Half
