Whyte has to be in first grade soon surely? Wong too and Sandon Smith was surprisingly good in hooker

Good game from the Roosters NSW Cup - they have been competitive in most games and unlucky not to win a few more games this year - Newtown were in second place.

Down 23-10 was similar to Norths when they played Newtown - down 22-6.

Both coming home with a wet sale as they say to win by 1 point - Roosters 24-23 and Norths 29-28

The old first half field goal curse as Gus Gould often mentions

Wow did not expect that 10mins into the second half. Whyte, Wong , King, Sandon Smith all stand out for me. Hugo Salva has a big frame, for a 5/8th, played well for second gasme in this grade

Was just reading an article about Wayne Leong also being a mad Jets fan (see https://www.newtownjets.com/meet-the...s-wayne-leong/).

What's a Roosters NSW Cup game like these days? Gotta say... I loved the Jets' run in 2012 (when Easts were going nowhere). Can remember players rag-dolling Mortimer around after games (in a loving way) and the Lebbos with Drums being mad passionate about their footy.

Forget which round but I went to Leichardt by myself one time (while I was single + a bit down on life) and remember some fans inviting me over to their group & shouting me a few schooies. There's something about park footy that makes it awesome! Maybe just me, but watching an NRL game alone (while I'll do it for finals and stuff) can be a bit lonely as it's so adversarial, you can get boxed in by opposition fans (I was surrounded by Souffs fans in the finals last year) and I find that I don't always gel with other fans. (Example, one time a young dude kept roasting me and saying I know shyte about footy as I called a sin-bin a send-off [during that season where V'landys made a big scene about using send-offs] and for saying somebody was playing for out reggies team [got a longwinded rant about how there's been no reggies since blaaah blah blah]... I was pretty much like whatevz ya tool & ignored him).

Tempting to take the family to a few NSW Cup games as the timing generally seems better for my travel plans and I'd love to see a bit more of some of our fringe / up-and-coming players.

You're half-pie obsessed with Wayne mate, but he kinda deserves a big platform amongst the Rooster ilk.

He defines what it means to be a supporter in its rawest essence.

I asked him once about the Jets/Bears/Wyong/Easts loyalties and where his priorities lie. He is an Easts man obviously but has some continuing connection with the Jets.

I swear he has been at two grounds simultaneously in the past when he needs to be due to scheduling. Thats commitment...and skill.

Yes sorry - I get some weird obsessions in life and he's definitely one of them haha

Surprised he hasn't applied for a restraining order against me yet.

Here’s a pic of Watisoni and Payne Haas.
                          They’re about the same height.

Agree Whyte carried the team forward and Wong was excellent.

I caught a feed of the game by chance. Was impressed with Smith and Wong. Wong has an impressive frame.
