  • Chris Sandow

Can't believe this wasn't touched.. If ever I was willing to stake my life on an NRL player being behind bars within 10 years of retirement, he would be the one..

    http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/spo...-1225992916738

THE South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed halfback Chris Sandow is the player we exposed in last week's column who threatened a Sydney publican when asked to leave for foul and abusive behaviour after a long session of drinking and gambling.

It turns out the incident occurred at the Pavilion Hotel on George St in August, when Sandow is alleged to have told the hotel manager and security staff: "I'm coming back with my mates and plenty of guns to fix you bastards up."

After denying knowledge of the story last week, Souths CEO Shane Richardson has now confirmed Sandow was heavily fined over the incident on August 20.

"When you first pointed it out to me, I thought it must have been something that had happened recently because this thing with Chris happened in August and we dealt with it at the time," Richardson said. "I won't say how much he was fined because that's between the player and the club, but I can assure you it was very heavy."

What can you expect it's Sandow, he's a grubby little prick both on and off the pitch. And i have to agree with Cockadoodledoo about Sandow being the most likely to end up behind bars after their careers over .

What really makes me angry is that fat prick Richardson trying to cover the whole thing up and act like he had never heard of it only to come up with this pissweak excuse "When you first pointed it out to me, I thought it must have been something that had happened recently because this thing with Chris happened in August and we dealt with it at the time," when he got found out. F*CK i hate those dirty, toothless, metho drinking pieces of scum that are Souffs.

Anybody hear about this one back in August?
        ... ANYBODY...?!?!

How did they cover it all up? Too much good news about other clubs flooding the media at the time?

Coincidentally, different sunday paper on the same day ...one of those half dozen single paragraph stories.

Made mention of the NRL 'playmaker', whose gambling habits are becoming a huge concern for his teammates, and has been regulalry losing large sums of money.

This guy gets quietly reprimanded by Souths for threatening to shoot a publican. Joel Monaghan has is career terminated for a distasteful joke.

            Funny world...

Ha !! what a cop out by Turkey neck !!!!!! "oh we fined him, but we are not going to tell you"

You can see the culture at souffs is to keep rusty's image squeaky clean and sweep things under the carpet.

Thats fine, let them, it comes out worse in the end.

I remember TOK saying he was "a nice young fellow" who just enjoyed a quiet punt with his girlfriend and child at his local.

                    LOL

I've seen him at the pub maybe 50 times - never seen him have a single drink and he is nothing but courteous

Roosters players have done and said outrageous things on the drink too.

You'd be amazed at some of Fitzy's performances at the Robin Hood a few years back re the secret rack room...

Sandow would be "your type of guy"..

& slandering Fitzy is a new low....Even for an over-opinionated nuffy like you..

                        Now back on Buzz's lap...Clown..

If true at least Fitzy was smart enough to do it in the back room Where no one in the public sees it.

As for Sandow I have said it before Perhaps he should spend more time with his children then at the pub.

seems to be MR Walker has been vindicated and TOK again shown up to be the fool.
I say let them keep Sandow playing, he is a complete joke and its amusing to think they regard him as an NRL player.

                              Hawkeye,
on that article about the player losing all that money, I thought was a St Merge player due to the coach reference
