  • We need Crash test Dummys for a new Fantasy RL Game

    Hi guys,

A mate of mine, Dale (he is a tigers fan but we won't hold that against him) is looking to set up a new Fantasy Rugby League Game and we need 8 testers for the first season, here is a bit of information....

Hey guys, I am setting up a new type of Fantasy NRL League. It will consist of 8 team managers in a Rotisserie Head to Head format.
    Each team will have 13 starters(1 Fullback, 2 Wings, 2 Centres, 1 5/8th, 1 Halfback and 6 Forwards) with a 7 man bench(Any positions).

In a Head-to-Head League, your team squares off in a weekly matchup against another manager's to see who can compile the best stats across a number of different categories.
A new weekly matchup begins every Round and consists of a set number of games based on your league's statistical categories. Each stat category counts as one game, with the win going to the team that finishes the week with the highest total in that category (the cumulative total after each Round's games).
So, if in a given week, your team scores more tries than your opponent's, you would be credited with a victory. However, if your opponent's team ended the week with a more tackles than your team, you'd be charged with a loss. If the two teams end up tied in a given category, each receives credit for a tied game.
This weekly win-loss total is added to a cumulative season record, which is used to determine standings and playoff seedings.
The statistics to be used are: Tries, Goal%, Tackles, Metres, Hitups, Offloads, Linebreaks, Try Assists and Penalties(aim is to have the least amount for this category).
We will need to do a draft to determine which players will be on your team. So, if I have Billy Slater on my team, no one else can own him. However, you can make trades with other owners if you wish. The draft will be run on either a message board, or through email. Im looking at getting the draft started by the end of next week. I will be setting up a league website to run the game from.
Let me know if you are interested in joining.
So let me know if you are interested and i will get Dale to contact you.
