Who on earth was voting on the MOM in the GF? How the fk did Slater get it? At best he was 4th or 5th best on the ground. Hoffman, Cronk, Hindmarsh and MOi Moi were streets ahead of him. LIma and Grothe were at least as good if not better than him.

Selections, for NSW and for awards has become an absolute joke.

Another example: how did Idriss get centre of the year in the Dally M when Inglis and Morris polled alot more points than him?

Australian selectors do the Clive Churchill Medal if I remember correctly.

Selections for NSW have always been a joke.

The way they vote for Dally M player of the year and Dally M positions is a different method. Player of the year is 3-2-1 for the best players in each game, positions is 3-2-1 in positions across all games. i.e just because Inglis was the second best player in the Storm V tigers game for example doesn't mean he was the best centre over the weekend. That's the theory anyway....

I would have given it to Cronk if it had to go to a Stormer...Fui was in front of him for best on ground though...even though he was in a losing side I do remember the selectors giving it to Bradley Clyde in a losing side one year...

I would have given it to Fui...he was the standout performer on the day...

no one was best on ground, because it was rugby league not AFL .
I would have been happy if Cronk or Hindmarsh got the CM.
I am not totally upset that Slater got it, he does alot that people just don't see, off the ball and organisationally.
Grothe's defense at times ruled him out for me.

Yes he did. I was at a mates place and thought I heard that. He had the IQ so we were able to rewind it and sure enough....Slater was suprised it did not go Cronk.
