I've been working my way through the ones written by Susan Harris, a very prolific writer who is most famous for The Golden Girls, my least favourite as I never liked the way Bea Arthur treated Betty White..there is always ONE who is jealous and spiteful.

Empty Nest is about the family who lived next door to the girls, featuring Richard Mulligan and Dinah Manoff who was one of the Pink Ladies in Grease.

These 2 also were in Soap with a very young Billy Crystal. This show was way ahead of it's time..I was very sad to read about Billy's 1930's home being destroyed in the fires..

Golly gee. Everything I watch and read is horse related today. Normally I would love that but just reminds me of Broncos..

This however is so funny. Just watching this 2nd last episode of George & Mildred, called Gotta Horse

Probably the best thread to acknowledge the passing of Dame Patricia Routledge. Classy lady and brilliant actress. Best known for the iconic character Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances.

Was just about to post it, Keeping Up Appearances is one show i can watch over and over again and still get a good belly laugh. I especially love the interaction between Hyacinth and Elizabeth.

Thanks for letting us know Jack and I just realised her birthday was the day before Mum's, who always loved her dresses (Mum was a dressmaker and had similar taste, apart from those hats ).

My favourite episodes were when Hyacinth wanted Emmett to play piano in honour of having a new sofa delivered from Harrods and Mrs Blabs Thing and Daddy having a romance.."He promised me marriage!"...

I've been watching this old show Hazel for a while now. Good clean cut family fun directed by Henry Fonda. Whitney Houston said she had been named after the actress, Whitney Blake, who was the lady of the house. Season 1 alone had over 30 episodes, all in black and white, apart from one when they bought a colour TV.

Another I'm watching from the 1960's - That Girl starring Marlo Thomas, one of the most gorgeous women of her time. Later seen in Friends as Rachel's mother, Sandra.

                    Phoebe wearing a tribute T-shirt..
