Do you harvest your olives ?

I tried it a couple of times but it’s just too much messing around and takes a really long time.

Lol thanks but they are way to much effort to process, much easier buying them already to eat. Last year when I was visiting my parents place at Kingsford I was walking along one of the streets and I noticed all this stuff squashed on the foot path, they were olives, they had fallen off a few trees that some one had planted along the street.

We used to have an olive tree but whoever decided to plant it decided it was a good idea to plant it under a low hanging power line that connected directly to our house. We had to keep prunng it every year to meet the power company's clearance regulations, so much so it became all trunk and barely any branches. We made the decision to get rid of it. We had never actually used the olives before that though but it was a nice looking tree - until all the pruning effectively destroyed it.

My backyard gets that way sometimes as well.

Back to limes and lemons, I spliced a lemon plant to a lime plant about a year ago and planted it in my garden. It seemed to be going well so I’m really looking forward to seeing what the fruit is like when I get home in a few years.

Mate I can just feel it welling up inside me! Really looking forward to getting out of the city next week and cooking for myself again. Hopefully some fresh bass and walleye will be on the menu!

If I get a bag full, I’m going to cut them up into decent sized chunks, wrap them in bacon and pan fry them off in butter.

The fishing was good but didn't eat these bass. Most had worms and parasites in them. You didn’t miss out on anything mate.
