I also have been watching Classic Albums on SBS on Demand as they do a deep dive into the process of making a particular album:

Will have to subscribe to one of the services though when we get a new car, currently the old car still has the CD player in it and no option to be able to put an external input into it or bluetooth anything.
I remember when our old car only had a CD player. It’s so much better now just plugging the phone in and playing from my iTunes library or Spotify.

I introduced my kids to a lot of the music from this period and they really wanted me to delve into the last decade. I like making lists of my favourite albums and songs and used to do my own ‘Top 100 favourite songs of such and such a decade’ to play in the car on our family trips etc. They really wanted to ‘teach me’ the songs of the last decade so I could do a list of favourites from the 2010’s so I’m giving it a go!

Have a bit of a tradition at home on a Saturday night where we will put on 5 CD's that we haven't played for a while, put them on shuffle and let it play away.

I'm just looking through my songs on my ancient IPOD and lots of songs i have on it aren't available on Spotify or ITunes but will get Spotify sometime soon for more music which i don't already own especially newer music.

Boxed all the discs somewhere.
What I did was buy one of those magic televisions that access the internet.
Listen to everything on utube now.

I have an iPod classic and my old iMac from 2007 which I used to have in my shop. The browser is depreciated so don't use the internet on there but I can use it as a home jukebox. I have over 11,000 songs on my shuffle and at least 2,000 are thanks to Horrie Hastings. During the 2020 lockdown, I figured out how to convert the files to MP3 and then get them onto my iTunes so now I can take them all on my daily walks. The iPod takes up to 35,000 songs so I have a long way to go yet.."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

I got rid of my vinyl once I moved to the east. It's great living in Roosters territory but space is at a premium. I donated all my cassettes and vinyl to Vinnies in Parramatta and sold a lot of CD's on ebay. I still have a drawer full of Roosters games on VHS and also a few music videos and movies too. My VHS player has lasted longer than my DVD player but my TV isn't currently plugged in as I'm happy watching my shows on my laptop."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

I transfer everything - well my favourites plus any new CD I may be listening to - over to my phone / iPad for easy listening, But like I said, of late I’ve been using Spotify mainly to stream stuff from the past 10 years. I have a big CD collection and a stereo system which I now rarely use because I transfer everything as I said. I’m actually keen to buy a new turntable and get back into vinyl which I used to listen to before I gave into the CD revolution in the late 80’s. My daughter asked me if my records would still play if we bought a new turntableIt’s funny explaining the old technology to the millennial generation.

I think she just had a sore arm from her Pfizer..
