But I'm glad the American politics has moved to the off topic chat. I can't believe SOO is on tonight as it really does not feel like it at all. I really can't get into the mood for it at all.
I cannot disagree there like as well we read racist, sexist, homophobic and whatever else under the sun. We are all guilty, however we are entitled to an opinion which is not directed to anyone in particular without prejudice, but it takes one to start throwing the slander around and then it becomes a dogs breakfast, which is a shame because if you said to me I love Albo, Shorten and Clinton all into one...I most likely wouldn't say a thing BUT if I did, I'd say I can't stand Shorten because he's a shit dancer...or whatever but that's where it stops...You get the drift? I hope!

Anyway yeah with SOO mid season, at least we know the Roosters are in contention and we spew when we think one of our stars can get injured and be out of the game... Knowing now we didn't win the comp and the miscarriage of justice of dropping Keary for Kung-Fu Walker just eats my goat! I live in east Brisbane near manly and even though I still hate QLD, I will go for jake and Lindsay tonight because I want Freddy to pay for that stupidity... I doubt Luke will get another chance win or lose tonight. His cards have been marked!

        • i'm not anti-anybody so i'm not anti-trump but even most republicans think trump lost. it's not close.

Nearly 80% of Americans, including more than half of Republicans, recognize President-elect Joe Biden as the winner of the Nov. 3 election after most media organizations called the race for the Democrat based on his leads in critical battleground states, according to a Reuters...

I thought they were a good match too and I enjoyed watching their courtship until it all went sour. But the heart wants want it wants.

I was watching the episode where Niles has bought shares for Daphne and he pays her the dividend of $200 and wants her to roll it over and Frasier walks in and asks Daphne what that money is for and she replies:

“Your brother just gave me two hundred dollars, and now he’s going to roll me over.”

              Class IK!
LOL..I look at Super rollovers all day in my line of work.... I could watch that episode during work time saying it's research...

Well said there RWB but its Semantics!

Mmmm.....opinions are absolutely worthless without there being evidence to support them. When enough evidence is assembled an hypothesis (an opinion) becomes a fact unless proven otherwise - all Swans were white until black ones were found in Western Australia.

God is not a fact. The Libs are the better managers is like Black Swans turning up. Pretty much all of what News Corp publishes is opinion masquerading as fact. Most of what you say is mere (and often seriously uninformed) opinion. But you're happy about that - a real Proud Boy.

You talking bout the backward or the back wood red necks 1908? Thank fukk we are in Australia is all I can say !

Actually "Red Neck" is a Right Wing pejorative coined during the West Kentucky Mine lockouts back in the day in Harlen County. The strikers, who were often assaulted and even killed by the gangs of thugs hired by the Mine owners, wore red neck scarves to signal their Socialist commitment. In context the term is, therefore, an honourable one. The proper term that you're looking for is "baskets of deplorables".

Can’t an opinion be right or wrong? If some particular person who only dishes out labels like racist, misogynist, homophobe and the like, the opinion I might form is that they’re probably lazy unwashed lefties who smoke pot and ice and are on Newstart or whatever, who aspire to nothing but receiving welfare and always blaming the government... But if they turn out to be highly educated and professional people affluent, clean and well spoken in PERSON, then my-opinion-is-wrong! They only have the inability to conduct themselves with manners behind the keyboard and someone like Frasier might say that they suffer from delusions of grandeur!

Sorry but sometimes I can’t cover all basis...

In the meantime I’ll go back to my copy of DSM-5 to keep up to date, but you enjoy Frasier, I always watch it cause it’s a fantastic! It hasn’t aged yet!

Anyway ay I hope you have a fabulous day!

Sure mate, you can have an opinion that can be debated.

However when you state things for eg. Obama was a failure when it came to addressing unemployment, or China's economic rise coincided with Biden's time in the senate in the 80's....thats stating something that is not true and is easy to debunk- Ronald Reagan was the President in the 80s and Republican George H W Bush was the Senate President for the majority of Reagans 2 terms. To come back with "we learn from sources we can rely from and if you believe your sources are right, then that's good enough, for you!" it's just saying you don't really care for facts-that your opinion is what matters.

When i make a mistake on something and its pointed out to me...well i just say yep i was wrong and try to learn why and where i went wrong. For me theres no shame in it

That's because you are a grounded and level headed person who doesn't continually trip over his own ego. I don't know why some people think being stubborn is a positive character trait, nor the inability to offer an apology to someone when or if you have done the wrong thing by them. Those types often end up lonely and bitter whereas open minded people like yourself continue to grow and learn all the time and that makes you a positive person to have around and set a good example for your family also. This year certainly has helped me draw a line in the sand in regards to the company I keep and whom I want to keep around me in the future.
