Sorry Horrie, but I'm going to disappoint you here.

I reckon the ABC coverage has gotten steadily worse year on year. It's a shame another network doesn't host the NY countdown.

Can't say I enjoyed any of the acts I saw last evening. And the nauseating identity politic dialogue from the hosts is hard to digest. Courtney Act my goodness how bad!

Luckily I happened upon a Willie Nelson tribute on SBS which saved the day (night).

Rant over.....and pleased some people obviously liked the show, even if I didn't.

That's ok Jack, i I know last night broadcast would not be every ones cup of tea but i thoroughly enjoyed It, i do admit Courtney Act can't sing to save herself but as an entertainer and presenter I like her. I was very happy with Vika and Linda, Dami Im , Casey Donovan and Morgan Evans.

i think it was when ch 10 did the coverage years ago they had complaints because the some of the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert performed and I even admit that what they put on was tacky and terrible at the time.

The ABC have had the concert every NYE for quite a while now. Been a great concert all the way through tonight, Dami Im doing a beautiful version Hopelessly Devoted To You in tribute to Olivia and Vika and Linda doing Georgy Girl in tribute to Judith Durham also, lots of other great spots to, i usually just record it and watch most bits later but i have sat and watched this one all the way through and can't pick a weak spot, all the artist have been great.

I still have my old turntable from the 80 s under the bed, going to set it up in the spare room again one day, got rid of most of the vinyl albums bit still have all the 7 inch singles. The first album i would play again on the turntable which is one i kept and would never get rid of, Xanadu with Olivia and ELO.

Aah of course. I have watched parts of it in the past but in recent years I’ve got into the habit of watching the Big Bash and then switching over when it gets close to midnight when the fireworks start. That’s probably why it’s slipped my mind. I’m glad you enjoyed it this year. It’s also good to see they had tributes for both Olivia and Judith Durham.
