I remember losing myself on the dance floor one night to this song, mind you the amyl also helped, that was many many years ago though.

            • Crying my eyes out listening to this one. Welcome Toni Childs as an Australia citizen. We are very lucky to have this lady living on our shores now. I posted previously about how I had seen her in concert:

                  • Fabulous and impressive stuff posted this week. This thread really warms my heart..I particularly love Stray Cat Strut which King Salvo posted. Keep it up! I'll keep checking in from time to time..

This one came up this morning on my iPod (don't want to scare the neighbours so early in the morning so had it blasting from my earphones only) while I was unpacking the shopping delivery. Great cranked up for strutting around the kitchen also. Another band I wish I'd seen and I know Mighty Rooster mentioned she saw them. They started out as a Bowie covers band:

                    • Erasure was mentioned in the covers thread. This is by far my favourite of theirs and I always stop and have a dance when it comes up on my shuffle: Fingers & Thumbs (Cold Summer's Day is the subtitle)

I went out with a girl who was into roller skating, before blades were the thing, and she said they often played the 12 inch versions as good timing for the free skate sessions.

                          Happy Saturday HH

But I fear I've let you down ..................... for now.
You see, I spoke to my father about the easts/st george game from 1982, and he thinks it was one of the games he has recorded.
Problem is he's in his mid 90's now and has a bit of dementia..........he's got to sort through 60 years of collecting to find things, and the house is falling down around his ears.
It's looking like it will be my job when hes gone.

                          • Anyway, I'm doing my bit to alleviate the housing crisis by leasing downstairs to a young nurse who is a single mum.
Being indigenous she gets free medication, but they cant find her a roof over her head.
I met her boyfriend last weekend and he told me he's picked this song for their wedding.

Not bad for people their age.

That's fabulous on all counts Eddie. This one just came up on my shuffle courtesy of Horrie's collection and I want it at my wedding if I ever do get married. Precious Love by Olivia Newton John:
