A long time ago when I was young I had a mate who dabbled playing and writing music his talent was limited, however a mate of his was quite talented. At the time both were completely off their heads on smack They made a lot of music together some of it was very good and they were selling bits and pieces of it off to people for their next hit. About ten years later I’ve heard the following track and the beginning is theirs I was there when they first started playing and recording it adding to it with the bongos I remember listening to the recording of it and saying Fcuk it’s raw but if you add piano keyboards and synthesisers to this you’ve got a really nice track Anyway somehow it appears the artist below has done just that and turned what was a raw recording with acoustic guitars and bongos into a really nice song

This raw recording by two junkies assisted with bongos by a one time pothead appears to have been turned into Everloving by Moby

And please explain what is wrong with a little chit chat about actual music? I love hearing about other posters music likes and experiences and how music has and continues to touch their lives. Bah humbug.

Nice story by the way. That Moby album is very good if not a little long.

I agree Horrie and none of those 3 songs made the 200-101 positions either. But this one came in at 201.

Skyhooks - Living in the 70’s

Its so funny MR, we were playing a CD at home the other day, a mixed Skyhooks and Sherbet one which i had burnt years ago and when Living In The 70's came on we both said at the time that is another song that should have made the list.

Speaking of Skyhooks, they were the first clip ever played in colour on Australian TV with Horror Movie when Countdown aired back in 1975. This came a couple of days after the first ever colour transmission was aired on the ABC when Aunty Jack switched from black and white to colour mid show.

OH MR There is nothing wrong with a bit of chit chat My preference in this thread would be if it was accompanied by a song Seeing as though it’s raining again I’m going to play some Supertramp

Fair point. In keeping with your weather comment, this clip is in honour of the ‘delightful’ weather experiences this winter in the nation’s capital.
