Anyway, in keeping up this great thread heres a classic from the 50s many of you will know.

Oh Jack, i haven't heard or seen that for many many years, takes me back about 57 years ago.

I had completely forgotten about it and then saw the pic even before playing the clip and i remembered it straight away, i must of been around 4 , 5 or 6 when i watched it. That theme just stays in your head a bit like Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men.

He dumbs down the place with an inability to discuss/debate a topic. And then usually ends up trolling individuals. Plus kills the humour in the joint. I reckon if it's a permanent ban, you will see good contributors post more often.

I’m just confused and wondering if I missed something because he’s actually been trying very hard to not do that recently. There are other posters who I think are very lucky not to have received a similar fate.

So am I the only one interested in this JJJ countdown on Saturday?

Also, that Andy pandy video is before my time. I was apparently a bit of a Romper Room type of girl.

Yes, even i know plenty of songs that have been in bottom 50 so far.

Thanks for that! I turned off the lights and watched the whole concert on the big screen at home—absolutely brilliant. So many great songs, and it brought back a flood of good memories.

Shame about ELO having to cancel their final show in Manchester—Jeff Lynne’s health issues must’ve made that a tough call.

i am just playing the live album Wembley or Bust at the moment and as soon as When I Was A Boy came on i was reduced to tears, such a great song with Jeff in great vocal form.

Geez i hope he gets over his health problems and not do what Ozzie Osbourne did after his final concert.

Hard to argue with the list, overall it was great and plenty that are on my play list.

It was a very good list and an enjoyable day. A great mix of songs from the past 50 years too.

It was a very good list and an enjoyable day. A great mix of songs from the past 50 years too.

I thought Sounds Of Them by Gangajang may have made the list , also would have liked to see Howzat and I Got You and Friday On My Mind make the list but overall it was a great balance between current and songs over the last 50 years or so.

I was shocked Sounds Of Them wasn’t there too. I would have preferred Howzat to Horses as I love Howzat and am no fan of Horses. Friday On My Mind is my second favourite Australian Song of all time after Don’t Dream It’s Over. I Got You is not eligible as the Enz are a NZ band. Strangely Crowded House is considered Australian because the band was established in Melbourne and two thirds of the members are Aussie, even though the main creative force and songwriter is a kiwi. I also would have liked to see The Real Thing by Russell Morris in there.

Some of the songs were too high or low in the list in my opinion but you’re always going to get different opinions in these sorts of lists I guess.

Oh I forgot about the GF performances. Probably because I was too stressed about the game itself.
No, I wasn’t planning to go to the performance. TBH I don’t know too much about his overall catalogue. I just know a couple of his songs but I absolutely love The Real Thing and it’s one of my all time faves.
