          • I recently scored 2x 70's amps (a Rotel and a Sony) that were 'broken'. The guy also dropped off a heap of home made speakers (from the 70's) and a Betamax player (which works after a bit of basic tinkering).

Right now I'm still in 'recovery' mode from my marathon so my runs are shorter and I'm not having to sleep as early. I've used my longer nights to restore the Rotel and the Sony, which means... MUSIC!!! One set of the homemade speakers (which I cleaned and built a speaker grill for) is particularly good so I've been hammering out tunes on it.

Last night I plugged in my MD deck (another restoration story) and cranked up:
            - Rickie Lee Jones (her 1979 album)
            - Puccini (Madame Butterfly)
            - Ryo Fukui (Mellow Dream)
            - Yo Hitoto (Hanamizuki)
            - Boney M (New York City)
