I did read that John Lennon said this was the best song he wrote - credited as a Lennon - McCartney composition - a 3 Part Harmony song in a Motown/1950's doo-wop style - the middle 8 was to be a guitar solo by George Harrison but instead was a John Lennon vocal solo - possibly George Martin had something to do with this change during production ? - Ringo's Theme ( This Boy) from a Hard Day's Night
