  • Well she's an Australian citizen now and if any of you ever get a chance to go and see her in concert, I highly recommend it. Like I posted in my concert ticket message, I saw her in the 1990's and she was mesmerising and all she did was just stand there and sing. No sequins, no flashy lights, no smoke machines. Just raw heart and soul:

    • We just listened to House Of Hope whilst watching the cricket (AUS V Sri Lanka ) A lot of it is quite dark. Put This Fire Out comes straight to mind. I Want To Walk With You really nice track

      • I'm still stunned she now lives in Australia and is willing to go to any town who will have her come and perform. We are very lucky she has chosen our country as her home. Oh I just looked up my own collection and realised I do have House of Hope on the soundtrack to Thelma & Louise..another I've had since the 1990's..its played 26 times since I added it to itunes and the last time it played was 5 March 2021. I'd often go and buy a soundtrack album at HMV Pitt St Mall on the way home from the movies. Me and my soundtracks..most of my collection truly is from movies..

This one is I Hope I Don't Fall In Love With You from The Prince & Me movie. The first one is Marc Cohen (I love Julia Stiles and she is the actress in this) and the next one below is the original, which I prefer, being Tom Waits..love his raw emotion compared to the polished version..

i remember seeing her at The Basement in Sydney, stunning low key show, just a small audience in a small setting.
There was an interview with her years ago on one of the morning shows on tv about her living in Australia and about her illness.

This is an article from an Australian paper

Thanks Horrie. I'll read that properly on the weekend. Her website is very interesting too with a lot of content on matters I enjoy reading about.

Today's song from the heart from me is The Fray - How To Save A Life

                    • Annie Lennox - Dark Road

                      It's a dark road
And a dark way that leads to my house
And the word says that you're never gonna find me there, oh no
                      I've got an open door
It didn't get there by itself
It didn't get there by itself
                      There's a feelin'
But you're not feelin' it at all
                      There's a meaning
                      But you're not listening anymore
I look at that open road
I'm gonna walk there by myself
                      Uuuhhh
And if you catch me I might try to run away
You know I can't be here too long
And if you let me I might try to make you stay
Seems you never realise a good thing 'till it's gone
                      Uuuhhh
                      Uuuhhh
                      Uuuhhh
Maybe I'm still searchin' but I don't know what it means
All the fires of destruction are still burnin' in my dreams
There's no water that can wash away this longin' to come clean
                      Hey yeah yeah
                      Uuuhhh
                      Uuuhhh
I can't find the joy within in my soul
                      It's just sadness takin' hold
I wanna come in from the cold
And make myself renewed again, (I wanna go livin?)
It takes strength to live this way, (oohh)
The same old madness everyday (nooo)
I wanna kick these blues away, (kick away now)
I wanna learn to live again
                      Hey hey hey hey hey
                      Hey hey hey
                      Hey hey hey heyyyy
                      It's a dark road
And a dark way that leads to my house
                      And the word says
