I have not heard this one in years and Eric Clapton is on guitar also:

"It's these little things, they can pull you under
Live your life filled with joy and wonder"

We used to have empires run by emperors. Then we had kingdoms run by kings.
Now we have countries run by ………

Another exquisite song from Stevie Nicks, this time duetting with Dave Stewart. She always has the best to sing along with like Don Henley and Tom Petty. Horrie Hastings gave me this album and this one came up today for the first time and I just had to stop what I was doing and just listen:

The album is an all time favourite in our house hold, totally amazing, Stevie is like a good red wine, just gets better with age.

'The Blue Cafe' by Chris Rea. It would be easy to post a hundred of his songs here but for mine this is as good as it gets!

"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

I used to have his album "New Light Through Old Windows" but it got lost probably in a house move so I now have the best of compilation. I love his duet with Elton:

"It's these little things, they can pull you under
Live your life filled with joy and wonder"

                  Saddest song ever I think:

When Dire Straits had broken the record for the most consecutive concerts at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, the concert was screened on TV via the Toowoomba station for us living in the country and I recorded it by putting the cassette player near the TV . I used to play the tape over and over in my car every Sunday when I would wash and polish it. At one stage, they said 1 in 5 Australian households had a copy of Brothers in Arms. Mine was on vinyl.
