I ask in all sincerity Why was the thread thanking the moderators was closed down It was up for a week no problems then a banned poster comes back and it is closed after he posts numerous times in it.

I look forward to a response as I do not understand

I’ll answer that as best I can as the initial thread you are referring to is the one I started.

As you mentioned, a certain poster returns and the first thing he does is accuse me of advocating murder. Then he accuses Roosterfarian of being racist against Rasta’s. Both his comments are either bordering on total paranoia or complete ignorance (probably both). Then he thinks it’s his legal right for the moderators to send him Roosterfarian’s edited response. Red (moderator) requested Roosterfarian edit his post which he did promptly. Furthermore, Roosterfarian’s comment had absolutely nothing to do with King Salvo, as I read the comment and know who Roosterfarian was referring to.

The question I am asking is why wasn’t King Salvo banned permanently? He is the biggest cyber bully on this forum. He dishes plenty out but cries foul when something comes back his way. He considers moderators who also actively engage with their own views and comments as a conflict of interest - I mean seriously WTF? As far as name calling goes, scroll back through King Salvos posts for clarification and the proof is in the pudding as to who the real cyber bully is here at The Chookpen.

Genuinely curious — why do the mods have to keep putting up with this?

I’ve blocked old mate and the parade of sockpuppets just to avoid the noise, but surely at some point it’s fair to ask: can he just move on and let the mods do their job without the constant running commentary?

In most forums, that kind of behaviour gets you banned permanently. Not sure why it’s tolerated here.

It’s clear to me that KS has been given a bit of leeway by the moderators but I’m certain if he continues down his most recent path that leeway will end. Many posters in the past have been given considerable leeway before being banned. I’m glad I’m not a mod as it would be a really tough job.

It’s also ironic that posters blocking other posters for being annoying can’t help commenting on them every week or so.

Same with me. Each to their own of course but I think putting someone on ignore is a bit childish and pointless. All someone has to do is multi quote what someone has posted so they will see the message anyway.

Exactly, my comments weren't even about him! They were about some others here who continue to abuse others for their opinions on the team and players.

Dead set he is clutching at straws. I should be reporting him for cyber bullying as I had not even posted anything about him for years and then suddenly he abuses me for criticising Sandon's performance weeks/months ago.
