Haha fair — I should probably clarify I just got back from a weekend of being relentlessly hammered by mates (all rocking various swasti-cars, all with their own issues) trying to peer-pressure me into joining the cult. So yeah, I might be a little jaded. That said, I was mostly joking.

Out of curiosity though — what did you end up buying? Sounds like you got a solid deal if it was under half of that.

I bought the MG4. I'm leasing it actually, I don't buy cars. End of last year they took $10k off so it ended up being $32k.

When the lease runs out there'll be so many more options including cars with batteries to supply power to the home.

They didn't have the same sort of deal at the time.

Getting rid of our other petrol car soon and will definitely look at the BYD options.

Won't be long before cars can be used to power up the house so might wait another year or so.

Electric vehicles are the way forward. I was apprehensive at first but have no doubt now.
