  • On the punt.

What’s your fav or go to form of punting?

Do you get on the horses regularly or go the once a year expert when the Melb cup comes around?

Do you throw some lazy cash at the lotteries every week in the hope of winning back half of what you outlay?

Do you go searching through your wallet trying to find a lonely coin to rub on a scratchie ticket?

    Sports betters anyone?

Or do you get all excited about chewing on a parmy and swilling down a few bevvies at the local RSL while hoping for a big Keno win?

What’s your poison? Any stand out wins you care to elaborate on here?

I like a punt on the horse races I did win a substantial sum on the 2020 Melbourne Cup that Twilight Payment won Backing him regularly in early markets knowing he was flying over in Ireland Also get the Quinella and trifecta in that race.

I was lucky enough to work for a big betting company so no a few things and go well on the punt when I’m disciplined. Today though I’m starting a break of a few months from this type of work to take some time out and concentrate on other interests

I dont do any of them but if I go to the pub/club for a feed & a few bevvies I like playing the dogs, trots & horse races that arent real, its computer animated.
The biggest win Ive ever had was 15 years ago on the day of the Melbourne Cup. It was 6am in the morning & I was walking my dog when I spotted a white envelope in the gutter next to a mini bus & when I picked it up it had $2900 in it.
      SWEET.

Lucky person! Wonder if it lights the fire in some of our fellow posters in here to spend more time in the pubs chomping down the Wed night special while staring at the screens?

I hope so. It’s cold out tonight and it could be a chilly night to spend on a park bench.

A nice diner kebab would make it a bit better You like to think the punt doesn’t have such a hold on some as to not have enough for dinner

I agree Andy but there’s always a half chewed kebab lying around on the ground somewhere around Merrylands station. Just don’t try to double up!

There was an image on the Merrylands community Facebook of a Kebab, Keno card and a set of false teeth at a bus shelter with a "contact me if you've lost these items"
