Interesting points from B-Moz and Soward (about 2010 GF) on Graham's poddie...

Probably not somewhere a lot of Easts fans wanna go (hence why I made this off-topic). However I just listened to the two of them discussing how they won the 2010 GF.

Two points were of interest to me...

1. B-Moz is open that he was 'way out'. That's not why we lost but I feel that puts me at peace about that one as there's no argument there and it is what it is.

2. Tactically the Dragons lost the first half as they couldn't score on their left (and sent all traffic there). Wayne told them not only to go down the right but to target BJ Leilua. Not hating on him (or pinning the result on him) but this reminds me of 2019 where his defensive lapse won us the game.

Dunno. Otherwise nothing else I'm gonna bother listening to on that poddie as I don't give a fark about Jamie Soward or the Dragons. However it was interesting to hear some insights into how they won it (as opposed to how we lost it), I suppose. Particularly with B-Moz there as he's now won premierships with both clubs and isn't some smars@rse who just wants to rubbish us & talk shyte.

Interesting I was talking to Matt Cooper late 2022 He said similar but added that Bennet had noted that we had stacked our left side defence So Bennet told them to go right

It helped that we got our first penalty with about 10 minutes or less to go when the game was over. I was at the game behind the goal posts where Anasta scored and haven't seen a replay since so I don't remember the incidents clearly but there's been claims Leilua knocked on in the first half off a dragons kick that wasn't called and I do remember feeling lucky that Conn stayed on the field after taking Weyman out, they've also been pretty salty about the Anasta try but from memory it came off his knee. It was a pretty forgettable grand final in a season best forgotten thanks to Melbourne's cheating but our run to the final was nice but 2010 was one of the most boring seasons of NRL.

BJ Leilua cost Canberra with his pass to the ground in the corner when they had the overlap if he got that anywhere near his winger they score and win the game.
