there are a surprisingly large number of west ham fans in australia but this is the only non-soccer forum in the world outside the u.k. with two forest fans so it's worth talking about this game. bragging rights are up for grabs but with the 3-0 earlier loss this season the chookpen cup looks a bridge too far for the hammers

having managed to stumble out of the relegation zone and beating yesterday's villains man u last week the boys will be relaxed. they're at home and will want to play well for the fans but there won't be any lasting desperation. maybe they'll be drinking beer in the sheds at half time the way they did when robbie slater was playing for them. i want them to win but don't care that much

a month ago they were looking good for a spot in the champions league, now they're only an outside chance to qualify for the europa league. don't know if they've got any petrol left in the tank.

Don't mention the War.

Forest had some chances but couldn't find the net - look back on a few losses such as vs Everton and a draw with Leicester City towards the pointy end of the season - 5 lost points.

Forest now need to rest up and regroup pre-season as a big season awaits with the Europe games in the Conference League to contend with as well.
