Hey Sal have you ever been to City Ground? The Forest fans are loud-real real loud. When the crowd starts singing the usual pre-game song of Mull of Kintyre its something that sends shivers right through you- freakin amazing
sounds like west ham and milwall, a rivalry that makes easts and souths look like friends

Yes I have been to the City Ground quite a few times - late 1970's the first time and last time in 2018. Been redeveloped with a new capacity of a touch over 30,000 - We sat in both the Brian Clough and Peter Taylor Stands.

Also been to Trent Bridge a couple of times for Ashes Tests

      Semi Final 2 leg Matches
      • 1st Leg Sheffield United 1 - Nottingham Forest 2
      • 2nd Leg Nottingham Forest 1 (3) - Sheffield United 2 (2) - Forest won 3-2 on Penalties

      Penalty Shootout second leg

Forest Goalie Bruce Samba had a super match during the game saving at least 2 goals and then 3 saves in the penalty shootout vs Sheffield United. The win that took them to Wembley.

Promotion to the EPL Play Off Final - Wembley.

      Nottingham Forest 1 - Huddersfield Town 0

mighty hammers showed the tractor boys what's what, 4-1. first thing you look for as a hammers fan is not to be relegated so that's a step in the right direction

Be interesting to see what happens to Manchester City - 115 charges - alleged breaches of financial rules ( FFP - Financial Fair Play Rules) if found guilty - significant fine and points deduction/relegation/stripped of titles.

Looking at the wages bill in the EPL and players they attract you can see there are only a few clubs that can win the EPL each season -5 - Man City/Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea/Man United - clubs outside these top 5 have no chance.

Leicester City winning the EPL in 2015/2016 was a one off and very unlikely to be repeated

There will never be a salary Cap as all the leagues would have to agree on it - i.e EPL/ German Bundesliga/ Italan Serie A/ Spanish La Liga / Dutch Eredivisie/France Ligue 1

FFP(Financial fair Play now known as PSR - Profit and Sustainability Rules) basically is to stop clubs from spending more than they earn and incurring excessive losses

Clubs are monitored over a 3 year period and can accrue losses of up to 105 million pounds over a 3 year period on the condition they secure funding for the difference - some clubs make up the difference by "selling" contracted players as they are paid a transfer fee by the other club - there is no transfer fee for off contract players.

Some the clubs especially the top one's have owners with plenty of cash to tip in - Manchester City are owned by the City Football Group (CFG), a holding company majority-owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (member of the Abu Dhabi Royal family) through Newton Investment and Development LLC, with Silver Lake holding a significant minority stake.

What are the 115 charges against Man City?

having a salary cap is problematic, but not having one is worse but no way a comp that is the richest in the world will change

EPL makes too much money to limit players wages with a salary caps. Supporters of a lot of teams in the EPL will never seen their team win the EPL though.

Those teams may play in Europe if they finish in the top 5 in the EPL - UEFA Euro Championship League or if they finish 6 and or 7th - UEFA Europa League and maybe an FA Cup Title here and there.

hammers missed a chance to make a statement that they would stay up this year after losing to wolves 1-0. hard to see leicester, southhampton and ipswich avoiding the chop but you never know. back when lucas neill was playing the hammers were in the relegation zone but won 7 out of the last 9 to stay up. if they'd had that record throughout the season that would have topped the league
